I'm confused why did she go on stage barefoot? I'm even more confuconfused as to why she's even talking about current events. Like anyone with 2 brain cells would take advice from her. Seriously as if someone was on the fence would actually change her stance because of her speech.

The barefoot thing is so weird, I remember when Julia Roberts did that too. Besides seeming like such a bizarre stunt it's just gross to think about!

But what exactly did she say that was so bad? She clearly isn't a brain surgeon but aren't all decent people in agreement that there is no place for Nazis in society...?

'Let's leave here tonight knowing that we must show these Nazi, white-supremacist jerks in Charlottesville and all over the country that as a nation with liberty as our slogan we have zero tolerance for their violence, their hatred and their discrimination,'

Her politics need to stay off this forum. Ugh.
Saying as a nation, founded on liberty, we have zero tolerance for Nazi inspired bigoted white-supremacist fueled violent hatred towards Black people and Jews is politics? Politics is when you have a position on how governing impacts the whole. Is there really a position to take on race/religious fueled hatred? Or did I miss something?

Paris Jackson has denounced neo-Nazis and white supremacists in a fiery speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The 19-year old daughter of Michael Jackson spoke as she she presented the award for Best Pop Video at the glitzy ceremony in Inglewood, California on Sunday night.

'Let's leave here tonight knowing that we must show these Nazi, white-supremacist jerks in Charlottesville and all over the country that as a nation with liberty as our slogan we have zero tolerance for their violence, their hatred and their discrimination,' Jackson continued, referencing violent clashes in Virginia earlier this month.

'We must resist,' she continued, flaunting her trim figure in a see-through dress over a matching Christian Dior bra and tiny shorts combination.

what irks me is the use of the word "Nazi". Nazi describes a fatuous person of german-austrian and german-sudeten origin. if you are American, you aren't a "Nazi" you are an *******.
Same with "Hooligan", that's someone violating at sport events in england.

Unfortunately, that's actually what many white supremacist groups in the US fashion themselves to be....they feel that they are reviving the Nazi movement in the idea of a master race. Since Nazism is a belief or ideology in a master race, it wasn't limited to being German. While it was started in Germany, Nazis recognized other Europeans who were considered as descendants of the Aryan/Nordic master race.

So Paris is not using the term incorrectly for the groups here since that's how they WANT to be perceived and feel they are carrying out that ideology. In any event, the ironic part is that they also see themselves as super patriots which is kind of impossible if they also view themselves as Nazis....but such as illogical idiots go...

As for 'hooligan'...it's like any other word that takes on a local colloquialism. There are thousands of words that having different meanings around the globe. I also don't think it's origins is someone violating at sporting events in England, that's more modern usage....I believe it referred to gang violence. So when people say hooligan to mean thug, they're actually using it correctly.

"Nazi" is short for "Nationalsozialismus" with the acronym "NSDAP" wich stands for National-Socialist German Workers' Party (in english).
ok. Not that I said it wasn't, just giving you perspective on how these groups view themselves here in the US and why they justify referring to themselves as neo-nazis....lol

I know people mislabel themselves, it is as wrong as Taylor Swifts feminism
Does it really matter what they call themselves or worth getting 'irked' over? Nazi, white supremacist, alt-right, far right neo-con, etc...they're ultimately vile and fueled by violent hatred and if they had their way they'd do very much the same thing done in Nazi Germany. Their mislabeling of themselves is hardly the most wrong thing about them and hardly as bad as Taylor Swift's brand of feminism. Maybe I'm just old....lol.
