Thank you for your kind words @vcaalhambra @Pennypen (did you pic your Nick from Mrs. Maisel?) @axlm and @mavieenrose

@mavieenrose , no I usually wear the watch on it’s own. I think I wear it too loose to stack properly. Sometimes I switch the watch to my right arm where I wear the Love, but I can’t stand it more than a short time.
This watch is such a statement piece, I think it is best to wear the watch on it's own.
Le Lion - did you have any issues getting used to yellow gold being quite heavy? It least it is way more heavy than all my stainless steel watch. It's probably a little heavier than the love bracelet too.

I love the loose fit too! Did you take any links out to be like that or did you just leave it as it came?

i’m looking at getting a small yellow gold and steel Panthere in a couple weeks ! Unfortunately all our stores here are closed so I’ll be shopping online:sad: if you have a chance would you be able to measure the width of yours and tell me if the Cartier website measurement of 22mm includes the crown?
I’ve literally been printing out the watch to mimic trying it on in store

Hi everyone,
I am just hoping to get some advice on whether to go with the small or medium Panthere. I’m unable to go try it on as stores are closed here but my birthday is coming up and hoping to get it then, so I will be buying online unfortunately!
Now I’ve gotten a little creative and printed out both sizes hopefully to the exact measurement and attached some photos here. I’m not sure if you can tell much of a difference… i’d say I have a larger wrist and really just larger bones in general. However I’m really liking it to be more of a bracelet than a watch. I have a slight concern that the small will just look ridiculous but I really do love how it looks on all of you!! If you could please let me know your thoughts or if you need more photos let me know.

I prefer the medium on you - looks more balanced with your wrist, and if you like it more like a bracelet, go with a looser fit. It will look great!

I agree, medium size looks best on your wrist. Just curious why the stores are closed where are are, is it due to pandemic? I just know that the store has been opened where I live since last June. Hope it opens soon for you. It's always best to try it in person. Depending on the size of your wrist, your SA would assist you in removing the extra links. I removed 3 on mine (I have small stainless steel with diamonds).

I

The perfect Independence Day! I always wear mine with my tennis bracelet too!
Hey LeilaCreates, how are you? Did you ever get a chance to try on Panthere in YG (I forgot whether or not you were thinking of small YG with or without diamonds). I tried it on once, it seems very heavy since I am not used to solid gold watches but it is definitely something I can get used to. I plan on trying it on again soon, possibly purchasing it next year or the year after. Let me know if you got a chance to try it on and what you think of it. It is definitely new experience for me since all of my watches are in ss/diamonds.

I would agree with others that the medium would probably look best for you! I have small wrist and even I found the small to be quite small! I think the medium will still give you a bracelet look :)

No, not at all. To be honest, the feeling of the watch is stunning. It feels so sensual, smooth and solid, I have never worn a piece of jewellery that felt soooo good.

@vsangel I could measure it tomorrow and will let you know. For your pictures (what a smart idea!) I also prefer the Medium.
And yes, my SA took three links out. We tried four too, but than we tought, three and the looser fit is a little bit more… edgy (?) or chilled looking. Not as dressy as the watch itself in a small size suggest. (Sorry, English ist not my first language)

The medium gives more of a 'complete' look. It is such a statement piece and any size can be worn as a bracelet because of the design of this watch. it meant to be both watch plus bracelet.

Just yesterday I came across an old 1970 or so picture of a really loose panthère watch and was wondering if this is not too uncomfortable and now I just see this thread. So I'd like to ask you this question if such a fit is not annoying on the long run?

That's great to know. Not sure if I told you, but last December I ended up getting small two tone watch. I took it home but couldn't get used to the mixed metal so I ended up exchanging it for ss with diamonds (also small). Ended up taking out 3 links (I tried it with 2 but it was way too big). Loving it! Thinking of getting YG with diamonds in the future, such a stunning watch. Had some concerns about the weight (it is certainly heavier than ss!) but looks like it is very easy to get used to :))

Thanks everyone! I’ll keep wearing my printed out version around the house to make sure it suits me, haha! I wish I was able to try it on before our stores closed. My local authorised watch dealer is selling it to me for a great price but unfortunately there’s no refunds.

@vcaalhambra To answer your question, yes closed due to pandemic. I’m in Sydney and we’re in a complete lockdown unfortunately. Going on since end of June! So sad as the rest of the world is opening up!

@Le Lion Thanks so much that would be super helpful! And your English is great! :)

Mhm, good question.
For me, there had to be links removed. Otherwise the watch would just fall
So we tried around how much links. Four links were great, the watch would sit neat and proper around my arm and not move at all.
With three removed links, the watch is a little more loose. But it don’t spin around (that the Display is on the other side of my Arm) and it also don’t really sit low on my hand. So no, it is not annoying for me. But I also have to admit, I don’t wear structured or fittet Garments. I wear a lot of Blazers, but usually with rolled up sleeves. Same goes for Blouses or Cashmere sweater. Most of my items end above my wrist, except Coats and Outerwear. So last autumn I was not sure if the loose fit will annoy me, but it did not. We will see this year…

Hope the stores open up soon in Sydney!!! Here the stores have been closed for exactly 3 months during entire pandemic and people still complain about it. Nothing has been closed since June 2020. Hope you get to visit Cartier very soon!!
