VERY beautiful, Melora!!!
Can you show us the other beads too?

Sure :)
Out of this one, only 3 will go on my future California bracelet: the silver Mickey and the fun-wheel (for Disneyland and California Adventure park), and the shell for Shell Beach on the Central Coast. That one is funny, because of that time I was on the 101 and I needed gas: I went to a Shell gas station, in a town called Shell Beach, and then I realized what the logo is! In my defense, English is not my primary language ;)

My wishlist for my Californian bracelet is filled with Ohm, like the "I heart Arizona", with the Grand Canyon on the back, a cruise ship for visiting the Queen Mary in Long Beach, a killer whale for San Diego and Sea World, a trolley for San Francisco, etc. This will take a while, but it should be fun!

GORGEOUS, Melora! Thanks for the picture! May I ask what your primary language is?
Mine is German, of course.... ;)

Thanks!
Now that you mention it, your name does indeed sound German ;) I'm French and I came to California a year ago on a 2-year contract. We're supposed to move back next summer. In the meantime, we try to explore and visit as much as possible!

My family name is French, Melora! I have French ancestors and I love France.
Where are you from?

Chamilia beads fit nicely on Pandora bracelets, right? There are a couple of beads I like that don't look similar to anything on Pandora's lineup, so I'm about to bite the bullet and just purchase from Chamilia.

Not always. You should try them, or buy them some place where you can return them in case they don't fit.

I'm wondering if anyone here has ever purchased a handmade artisan bead from etsy? I am LOVING the beautiful and uniques that I have found and want to buy a few for my bracelets. Some of them are simply stunning!

I'm about to jump from Pandora to Trollbeads.
One of my Pandora bracelet is actually too big, and Trollbeads, through the Ultimate Exchange Program, is ok to take it as credit toward a starter kit. Somehow, I think Pandora is making a big mistake in refusing to exchange old bracelets...
Have you seen the Elfbeads? They are compatible with Troll, of course, and they are beautiful!

I've seen them, but I've not tried them yet. My current plan mostly consists of Ohm Beads right now, as I want to fill my bracelet with beads that remind me of California. The killer whale will be perfect for San Diego and Sea World, the whale for whale watching in Monterey, the cruise ship for visiting Long Beach and the Queen Mary, the Earth-ness clip for Death Valley, etc.

Also, I just pre-ordered Ohm's Bead of The Month for october! Isn't it beautiful?

I'm currently considering it. I just don't know where to go...
I have a hard time finding silver beads that are not fake Pandora. As for the glass, the prices seems to be either as expensive as Trolls, or really cheap ($10 for 10 beads), but not much is between...

I purchased a few glass beads from a artisan on Etsy, but haven't received them as of yet. I am so excited to be able see them in person, because they look so beautiful in their photos.

I initially did a general search for "Trollbeads" and found several shops that make their own glass beads.

I got that bead too, I love it!

Hi all

I'm a newbie here. I started off with Pandora as it was the one most accessible and well advertised. I have since moved on to include other brands like Trollbeads, Redbalifrog, Elfbeads and also artisan beads. Pandora produces a lot of pink and blingy beads, which I'm not a big fan of, though I still find beads to add to my Pandora beads regularly.

I wear all the beads on the Trollbeads bracelet as it is convenient and easy for bead changes plus all beads will fit. The part where Pandora tells us not to mix beads doesn't bother me. I have gone Pandora shopping wearing Trollbeads. Jewelry is very personal and people should just go for whatever they like.

I would like to share the bracelet I'm wearing today with everyone, which has a mixture of beads.

Have a good day and Happy New Year!

Thanks
Bebe
