Pandora versus Trollbeads

I was informed that there are a few Trollbeads with wider openings that do fit Pandora beads, but the majority of Trollbeads do not fit Pandora bracelets. However, if you get a Trollbead bracelet, then your Pandora beads will fit on that!

the only reason I dont get a trollbeads bracelet to be my travel bracelet and put the airplane and suitcase i have on my other pandora bracelet leaving this one for a new theme is because of the closure. i dont think i would ever be able to open it and close it on my own (the trollbeads one), and that is a bummer, i love that im able to open and close my pandora bracelets whenever I want.

and the only beads im interested in from trollbeads are their world tour collection, I loved it! they fit perfectly with the idea of a travel bracelet!
does anyone know if trollbeads has an airplane or a suitcase?

In my opinion:

Pandora: Classic, classy, clean, sophisticated
Chamelia: Young, blingy, bright, cutesy
Troll: Funky, mystical, gothic, earthy

Personally I love Pandora and Troll. I find the Chamelia a little too cutesy for me.

Thank you for this! I love to hear people's opinions on the beads. I find that I mostly like Trollbead, but I am going to mix in a few Pandoras here and there. I am undecided about Chamilia... I need to look into them a bit more...

Ok so I am going to keep this thread going, and make it my development of my charm bracelet thread!
Today I was able to take a good look at two different Pandora dealers in my area. After taking a good look, I realize now that Trollbeads are my favorite for the majority of charms. Today I saw two charms from Pandora that I do like; a fish bead, and a heart lock bead with a dangling key. I just don't like Pandora's glass beads. Trollbeads glass are more my style.
I like the Pandora bracelet that has multiple chains and you put one clip in the center. I thought that was cool!
I am going to the Trollbeads shop tomorrow and grabbing a glass bead!

The Pandora Macrame bracelet are very pretty also. Did you see those? They don't get talked about much. Nice colors!

I also visited a Trollbeads dealer who used the Zucchini bead to loop together 2 bracelets to wear them together. Very interesting.

I saw those macrame bracelets. I thought they were quite pretty.
I finally was lucky enough to visit a Pandora only shop in San Francisco. I also popped into a quirky gift shop in SF and bought my first glass Trollbead, the Beach one!
I have realized that a) I like Trollbead better, and b) I won't be able to mix Pandora and Trollbead together. Call me crazy, but I can totally tell the style difference between the two!
The Pandora only shop was quite beautiful and impressive. But Pandora's glass beads simply cannot compare to Trollbead.
I am hearing through the grapevine that Pandora might be running a special in March? Anyone else heard of this?

I can totally tell the difference too. I find Troll to be more oxidised, chunkier, clumpier, even heavier, and more obscure. I was into both but stopped Troll to concentrate on Pandora. However, I think I might have to collect just ONE Trollbead bracelet, since I have found it impossible to turn my back on them completely!!

oh! now there's an idea.

I find trollbeads to be full of surprises, whereas with pandora what you see is what you get. with each trollbead, there's so much detail and individual craftsmanship involved you can't really 'know' a bead until you own it for a while. especially the silvers. I really like that, it's fun! pandora is 'safer', imo, and so far the only silver I own from them (giraffe) has been disappointing in quality. also their zodiac animal beads are quite... childish, and badly designed? I do really like their mop & silver heart beads, got one for my mom and she loves it too. I've heard the mop falls off though, which I hope doesn't happen, and would make me wary of wearing one myself.

I mix my beads anyway though, I pick whichever ones sing out to me regardless of brand! either way, I would suggest at least one troll pearl, if you can find it. I didn't even think to buy a pearl bead since it wasn't available for purchase on their official site, but saw one in store yesterday and it was perfect.

I just ordered the Frog Prince bead from the Germany tour from this great website that Kitsunegrl very kindly referred me to. I also bought a OOAK glass bead for my sister's upcoming birthday visit, and I think she is going to love it!
I told myself that I would only buy beads that I had the money for, but I really wanted to get the Frog Prince before Trollbeads decided to retire it suddenyl and then I would lose out! I got it for a great price brand new, much better than the prices I saw for used ones on Ebay.

And here is the Ugly Duckling bead! I have to say that I was struck by the incredible detail on this bead. I bought this from the Trollbeads retailer that is closest to me called the Golden Swann in Auburn.

Have any of you all tried Ohm beads? I have found several that would go well with the farily tale theme my daughter is working on and I was wondering about quality?

Pandora seems to be my favorite but I have mixed in a bead from Chamila (snowflake) and two Swarvosky crystal beads from Kay Jewlers, which ironically when I wear my bracelet out the crystal beads are the ones that attract compliments.
