yeah Miss Christi depending on which country you are in. I have the purple grapes charm but they are not limited edition in England but just cost £50 all the time. I like them though as i looove grapes so of course i had to have one :)

Hi Ladies,
I've been catching up on the board as I haven't been here for a while. Big welcome to the new Pandora lovers.

I went out shopping today (Black Friday) but didn't get any good buys as I was buying Pandora for my daughter's Christmas present. She's doing the oxidized bracelet with the 14k gold clasp some gold and red. I purchased the bracelet and two 14k gold ribbed clips and that looks really great. Also got a message bead for a good friend.

Lots of people were out all over the counter. I pissed off the sales associate who was selling a leather bracelet to a customer who was also buying a lot of beads. I casually mentioned that you couldn't fill up the leather bracelet; it can't take it. LOL...the SA gave me a look but come on she's got to know that the poor girl might end up with the bracelet braking and losing all of her lovely beads. I left the sales associate digging through the catelog trying to find something to prove me wrong. :balloon:

Kandi, Congratulations!!!! I think pissing off sales associates who are trying to bamboozle unknowing Pandora ladies is great! Making a sale is their job, but her lack of knowledge could really hurt the patron, if she lost, broke, or stretched her bracelet!

My latest Pandora purchases: Liquid silver ring for my mom for Christmas and 3 wood beads for her neutrals bracelet. I think she is going to love them!

givemegold - your Mom is going to love her Christmas present. Could you post a pic of the ring or send the link; I'd love to see it. It's so much fun shopping for Pandora gifts you just know it's going to be loved.

Thanks for the congrats re that SA...I can still see her pissed of face. :roflmfao:

thats good that you said something. when i started of myine the sales lady told me i had to buy the clips right away for the threads or else they would break. later on, i asked other pandora sellers if you really need the clips and most said no.

I need help!!!!

i cant decide on a color for my muranos. :confused1:
my first bead was the red heart bead and my friend got be a green flower bead that same day. since i only had the two muranos and only one charm
i just kept it like that. i later on got a blue flower murano because blue is my favorite color, but i wasnt happy with my bracelet at all. it just didnt look right after the charms started added up. it looked too rainbow for me i guess.:s
so i took off my red one and later on took off the green one and gave them to my mom. i just had a blue bead with about 7 silver/gold charms. i love the blue but then i saw the light pink beads and something clicked. i hate the color pink, always did but i bought the zigzag one and lost the blue bead since it didnt look right once again. then, i saw the limited edition grapes and had to get the purple one. *sigh* purple isnt a favorite of mine but i loved the charm and wasnt into the green one.
so now i had a pink charm and the little purple dangle.
tonight when i went to the little pandora store i saw the aqua blue heart bead. i fell in love. its the perfect shade of my favorite color =]...i didnt buy it. it would totally not match in and just make me frustrated. even with my old blue, the shades wouldnt match. :pout:
then i went to the mall. i was going to see a movie my boyfriend there since he goes to college out of state and only get to see him once a couple of months or holidays (thanksgiving weekend) until winter. while i was waiting for him i saw this little stand of beads. it wasnt pandora or a specific name. i was just looking when i saw this purple glass bead with pink stones on it. i bought it, it just tied the purple from the grapes and my pink bead together. even though my plan was to buy the pink dot one and the pink hearts to have all pink. (the lady also threw in a dolphin spacer, its so tiny but the dolphins are touch noses and are soooo cute, tried taking a picture)
anyway, it does match but im not really happy because i want to add the other pinks and i dont like purple, i think it takes away from the pink.
on top of it all my mind keeps going back to that blue heart bead. such a beautiful color. but nothing matches with its shade and i want a steady color for my bracelet and thats it.:cursing:
any ideas? :smile1:

You have me lmao!!!! Starting off I felt the same way, I wish I knew of this forum back then but that was late 2006 ;). Advice is focus on silver and 2 tone beads you love and that represent things, then buy your muranos I buy muranos in groups of 2 or 3. I always have the same murano in groups of 2 or 3. If I am doing two colors I make sure they are the same murano like a blue captivating murano with the brown captivating murano I have 3 each with a bunch or base beads ( silver & 2 tone) and everything flows since it's the same style. And best best advice is look at the "What does your pandora creation look like?" on this same forum for truly inspiring looks!!!!! Good luck Chrisi!!!!! And don't worry your bracelet is and will continue to be spectacular!!!!!;)

I'm looking for a suggestion on working with the pink enamel beads. I have three of these, the hot pink ones. I also have a few silver beads with small pink crystals, the pink and purple enamel flower bead, and a few plain silvers. For some reason I have trouble working with the pink enamels (nothing seems to look right with them), and I was hoping someone else had used them. Would black be a good choice? I was thinking of the big black crystal beads, the new ones.

Miss Chrisi! You have the same problems that many of us have or had. My personal solution to this problem: Get a 2nd bracelet... Keep one bracelet pink with the purple grape dangle. The purple in that amethyst is more pinky anyway. If you really dislike purple, I would return the bead that you just bought or give it to a friend that loves purple. I would make the second a bracelet that hi-lights shades of blue. I think that if you add a blue CZ bead or two, you would see that the light blue heart bead and the blue flower bead are more complimentary than clash-y.

Another idea is to look at other bead brands that have murano glass (lovelinks, Chamilia, Zable, or Prerogatives). There could be a perfect bead that ties the whole thing together!

I will admit that my first Pandora was a bunch of bead buying errors! I would become attracted to a Murano and buy it without thinking about the overall layout of my bracelet. I have had to take them all off and re-arrange them so many times that I thought I would never be satisfied with the look. I really love my bracelets right now and hope it stays that way. My best friend and my mom don't care what order the beads are in, so I re-arrange them myself! LOL

I think that black and white would be a great way to make the hot pink enamel pop! The oxidation of some of the silver beads would enhance the look of the pink, too. I really like the Primrose path bead with clear CZ(79330CZ) and the CZ bead with heavy oxidation and the twisted edges(79221CZ)...maybe even the braided bead with the onyx dangle (79388O). Plain silver without stones would be beautiful too: the web (79165), feeling groovy (79400), or journey (79401). Just some more ideas...

I was reading this thinking...wow I did a (TCU) purple bracelet! My whole bracelet is purple with gold and silver...A frog, a football. But, it took several tries to get it right. I think that's the way with this...trial and error. My sister is thinking about a rainbow hued with animals. I love that no two are alike.

I'm a new Pandora fan, a shop opened up near me in Chester. :D I just bought an 18'' starter necklace with lock and 3 beads. A sterling silver with enamel, it's the one with the pink flowers on, the sterling silver four leaf clover and another sterling silver with a flower design all over. They're so lovely. I think I'd like some of the Murano glass beads soon.

I think when I've built up collections of set of different bead colours I might invest in some of the cord bracelets. I had a look at them in the store but though as a first purchase they might limit me initially to one colour.

Bought a few for my sister too, for her birthday/Christmas, which are both in the next month. A sterling silver S, a couple of the Murano glass beads one with pink spots, another in purple and a couple of the sterling silver with gemstone spacers. I hope she likes them!
