Hi Everyone,
Just found this and registered. I came across the site while looking for Pandora information.
I am very new to these bracelets, I think I must have been under a rock the whole time, I heard about them around Christmas time and so my dh said he'd get me some for Christmas. I wasted a fair bit of money on ebay, but did get some nice non authentic beads and sterling silver charms. I have a genuine Pandora ss clasp bracelet, 2 clips, a safety chain, heart bead and the clasp opener. I love it! I wish I could spend longer just playing with the beads I have and the arranging of them. Shame I have to do other things as well.
Glad to be here. :)

:yahoo:After being on this site yesterday I got over-enthusiastic and went out and bought the last 3 beads plus a safety chain for my bracelet. Got the cross-stitch, a pink bead, 2 tone safety chain and a 2 tone bead. Loving it. Can wait to get into work to show everyone (even the ones who roll their eyes)

Welcome! We are shameless enablers here. Your bracelet will be filled before you know it:smile1:

Thank you for your welcomes. I am dreaming beads these days.... :sleepy: Even when I wake to roll over I am thinking beads and bracelets.

I lost a whole stack of weight a year or so ago 35kg actually and to my shame and annoyance 15kg has found me again. :(
To help me and reward me (big time lol) I am getting a new bracelet! Yay! :wlae:
I have my new one all worked out on Wards Bracelet Builder, the bracelets I have built on those things. I'd like to be able to save the pictures to look at and plot my purchases.

I went to bed way after 1 am last night, but still needed to sit on the bed, admire my beads and work out what I was going to wear today. lol. Dare I tell you why I was so late getting to bed??? I was reading this site.

Thank you for letting me join the crew and being part of the "shameless enablers" . :)

What are your opinions on colour schemes? I have a friend who has a completed Lovelinks bracelet (not the same I know but I do like the choice of colour beads they have but that is a different matter!) and to avoid the problem of not being to wear it every day she has got lots of different colour glass so it does blend with most outfits. In fairness to her it does solve a problem and she has planned it well but I don't know if I would prefer to have less glass (like 3 or 4) that all are similar and then get several sets to change them over (e.g. 3/4 of each pink, black and blue and the rest two tone.) Opinions welcomed please. What she said made complete sense but not such if I liked it or not.

BTW...........

Daisy..... I'm dreaming Pandora too if it makes you feel better. Lol.

NZ Collector............... so jealous! Would love to be going to work with a completed bracelet tomorrow morning! Would sure improve that Monday feeling!

Welcome, ladies:yahoo:! I haven't been here for a few days and I see that there are lots of new posts to catch up on!

Lorna, you may want to try the oval lights or the trinity spacers. They come in lots of different colors ;)so if you're not in the mood to use glass beads, that should give you the pop of color you need. You could also go for neutral colors like cream, white, or black dependent on what you normally wear. I'm going to start working on an all white/gold bracelet so that will be my neutral bracelet, but I currently have a purply/pink/white one right now. It's finally finished and I'll be posting pics soon:wlae::woohoo:!

What are your opinions on colour schemes?

Bearing in mind that I have only been a Pandora fan for slightly less than a month, this is my experience.

When I first started I was buying (off ebay and hence not big dollars) beads that caught my eye or were pretty. When they arrived I realised that they didn't match each other or my clothes, so I decided I wanted ones that co-ordinated and matched what I was wearing. Personally I like ones that are all toned and work together well.... but I do like the variety look too. Oh the decisions.

So.... of course I need more bracelets and more clothes. :graucho:

What are your opinions on colour schemes?.

hi there lorna!, ive kept my bracelet a nuetural colour. my charms are mostly SS and 2tone charms (the only colour bead i have is my brown mother of peral dangle). i wanted to add some colour but nothing too bright, so i added 3 white and latte coloured polka dot murano.

the white murano is suprisingly eyecatching amongst the SS and 2tone charms.

another reason for choosing is because i tend to go through phases of liking/hating different colours and patterns. so i stuck with white. simple but stunning! :p

can anyone tell me of their experiences with gold or silver plated charms?

or just gold plated jewellry in general. im not too familiar with it.

im looking at ebay and there are sooo many sellers selling almost exact replicas of pandora charms but they are GOLD PL or 18ct GOLD PL. does the gold rub off after longtime wear?

ive decided i have no will power at all! Been out today and got 2 new charms, the snake (eldest dd and dh are year of the snake) and the ball of hearts (i like it). ive put them on one end of the bracelet though and they keep gettign stuck on the threads so im thinking a ss/gold clip might be in order : ) i want this bracelet to be a mix of ss and ss/gold charms with a little bit of pink. i love the ss/gold beads and orange together but dont think it will go with my clothes as much as the pink. got a copy of the catalogue at the jewlers so ive been through it and ringed all the ones i like so hopefully dh will get the hint!!!!!

I just did the same thing. I left the copy of the catalog out where my Dh can see it as well. Though I went one step further and told him that's what I would like for valentines day. I know I will buy a few before that, so I told him if it has an X over it I bought it already.
