I had a Pandora with the Pandora clasp and it was very difficult/impossible to use. I broke my nails and had to resort to nail scissors to pry it open. I sold it.
The lobster clasp is much easier to use, even if it is not quite as pretty.
If possible, try to work with both styles before you make your purchase.

I don't really have a problem opening the clasp on my other pandora bracelet but i know what you mean my friend struggles every time so if i had that problem I'd definitely go with the lobster but it's the style, i really can't decide on which one, i quite like the little dangle bit on the lobster clasp, but the other is the 'trademark' style. :confused1:

I'm going to pop into the shop & have a try on & decide

I have the silver bracelet w/gold bead clasp (stunning, and got it on ebay for less)... I use the edge of my thumbnail and just press down onto the 'seam' of the clasp. Some days it opens easier than others. But I love the gold bead (and the security of a clasp that doesn't open too easily!) since I have some SS/14kt beads and often wear my gold wedding ring on the same hand (normally wear my Tiffany SS mesh band as a wedding ring since I usually wear silver jewelry). I don't have acrylic nails or anything, I bet it's a problem opening the bead if you do have them.

Isn't it fun that so many of us share this obsession?!

Hi girls,
SuLi, I wanted to put on my new bracelet 5 Withe Murano beads-and I did last week in the Pandora shop-looks gorgeous, but I play tennis 6-7 hours per week and I wear my 2 pandora bracelets+one gold +watch...:shame:, so the girls in the shop told me that is not good idea as this glass beads break so easy.So I'm making the second one now gold silver again and when I start my 3rd one will be gold/silver too:graucho:.

Golden Touch, thank you-my birthday was yesterday(17)
I start my 2nd bracelet last week with 9 beads, so after yesterday they are 14 now:wlae::yahoo:.2 beads from my little 3 years boy(was so cute), 2 more from my husband, 1 from my friends:wlae:.I need 4-5 more beads and I can start my 3rd bracelet...
I didnt buy the gold spacers yet, I keep buying beads every week, my other love Balenciaga:heart: too-I need to pay for 2 new bags before xmas...But I will buy 7 spacers if I found some money next few weeks:graucho:

Nice lot of beads for your birthday! Congrats!

I have heard that there will be no more new beads before Xmas.

I am still hoping that Santa has me a Pandora Necklace with a gold clasp. (may be wishful thinking....)

OMG! I just died and went to Pandora heaven - they have opened a Pandora shop in the GPO in Melbourne. They have all the Pandora, the new earrings, all the rings, the brand new LovePods range..
I didn't know what to look at first! Most of the shops near me have just had the beads, and not much of the other stuff.... so many things that I forgot to ask about the charity bead :cursing:
I did buy some earrings:

I picked up all the latest Pandora books/pamphlets, so now I need to make a plan of what to buy and when, seeing it all in the shop was too overwhelming.
It was busy in the shop - about 5 SA's and three deep at the purchase counter, don't think the trend is wearing off in Oz anytime soon.

OH and as for the lobster clasp a friend of mine has one - and she hates it, cannot get it to open or close without her husband doing it for her. Sometimes she brings it into work so that I can put it on for her.
I only have the bead clasps, but I went to the music shop and paid $0.50 for a guitar pick, and it opens the clasp SO easily, and no broken nails!

Hey girls! I've kinda figured out a way to get the funds for that gold Pandora clip I've been coveting. I am going to sell a few beads on ebay (along with a silver bead clasp bracelet) and use the $$ for the new bead. Pretty smart I think, since there will be no guilt over the new purchase! So - if anyone might like to know what I'll have for sale, just PM me and I'll send a link!
