mmkk, now I really can't wait to see what your new and improved bracelet looks:woohoo: like! Don't forget to share some pictures with us!!! Almost all of my beads have meaning and once I'm done, I'll post an explanation for them and why each bead is sooo special to me.

Oh Ladies!

I have heard of a lady in my town who had 8 full ones - in different themes!
Her husband has got himself addicted and shops on line for her - and she is embarrassed by it. I hope she happily wears them and good for her. And what a sweetie her husband must be.

I just ordered some new sunnies yesterday (pls see below) - mmmm kicking myself - and now I see them on-line cheaper - I told my husband but NO - He said order them.... he was sick of standing in the shop with me I think.

. I could have a 45 mm Pandora necklace for the price and some change for what I am paying AH! There goes my tax cheque.... mind you I like them. Just enough bling. I did want the aviator ones - but then I saw a music clip of Brittney Spears and I am sure she is wearing them. For a rich lady she sure is tacky so I went for these.

I am tempted to go and layby myself one.

Hey Luckyshe!! I am getting her the sliver music note because both of us play music! She is fantastic flute player and we have a flute and harp duo! So music has really special meaning to us!!

I think i ll share mine once it is filled up a bit more! cant wait to see yours and the story behind each bead!!!:wlae:

I went shopping yesterday and I managed to get two of the new purple Murano beads!! I have been seriously hanging out for these. I also got the white cloisanne enamel bead, and some Pandora earrings as well(clear crystal with the smalll flower dangle). I haven't seen the new charity bead in Aus yet, two of the shops I went into didn't even know about it.

Oh and Golden Touch - thanks for that ohmygiddyaunt link, I found the perfect present for my friend's new baby!!

Is there any particular direction that the charms are supposed to go on the bracelet? For example, do load the bracelet with the bead clasp to the right or left? Also how are the animals charms supposed to loaded on as well? If you are looking at your bracelet should they be facing you or facing out? I loaded my according to the designs on the Pandora Beads website. :)
http://www.pandora-beads.com/pandora/images/pandora-sample-06142006-image02.jpg

I have two, one complete and one that I just started. I always wondered if I loaded them correctly. I suppose in the end it doesn't matter, but I was still curious. :)

Also, does it matter if you get your bracelet wet? I am usually very careful with mine, but it slipped down when I was washing my hands and it managed to get soap and water on it. I just rinsed it off with a wet cloth when I got home and dried it off. I am leaving it to air dry now with the charms off.

Finally, I have my bracelet steamed periodically and some of the oxidation is starting to come off. There is probably nothing that I can do about that is there?

Thanks!

I wear mine with the beads facing me mainly because I just like looking at my beads so much :graucho: and when others ask to see my bracelet I just lift up my wrist and they can admire it. I talk a lot with my hands and I get lots of compliments because people notice my bracelet. I think it's a personal preference. I have one friend who wears it like I do and another that wears it with the charms facing out :smile1: (towards other people).

As for your bracelet getting wet, there's no problem :okay:with it. I wash mine in warm soapy water and use a fine baby toothbrush to take off the itty bitty dirt that gets caught in the tiny spaces. I do this whenever I can't go to the shop to get it professionally done. There are only 3 true Pandora stores in the US and I'm lucky to live 15 minutes from one. I get mine cleaned by them whenever I'm at the mall (and that's often...especially to admire the new beads:drool:) and I've never had any problem with the oxidization of my beads coming off. I hope that helps!!

Hi Ladies

I love ohmygiddyaunt as well. They have some cute stuff. I love jewellery with sentimental meaning and they have quite a bit on there. I think this is why I love Pandora - because when people buy it for you - you remember who did and when.

I have NEVER thought about how a bead faces. I just got mine out of my bed side (I did lots of heavy gardening yesterday) and I have them facing in and out. As I said I have never thought of this.

I need to pull my braclet to pieces and give it a good clean. I am on fertility treatment and my skin makes my bracelet/wrist BLACK :cursing: in sometimes a few hours (AH!? and I want a necklace?! :confused1:) I think I will face them out when I put it back together.

A good jeweller told me when I asked about cleaning products for it, that the only way this will stop happening is when I am pregnant and that I must be hormonal. (Mmm.... he was so spot on that day and you wouldn't believe the $$ I have spent at doctors to find out the same info. )

You will cringe when you hear what I have cleaned my bracelet with because of this problem (if it was all gold it wouldn't happen so bad but I can't justify a all gold one!).

I have used ANY liquid soap in ANY bathroom when I see my wrist black. Washing up liquid, normal soap, Bi-carb on Al foil and then poor on boiling water (this took of all oxidisation but it was back in only a day due to above - mind you I did panic a bit!! :faint:), Criticlean (orange based cleaner), a general super concentrated cleaner called Genie Power that you dilute with water, jewellery cleaner from the jewellers for gold and silver and I have taken it in and had it steamed cleaned a few times. My bracelet still looks good even though I have used all sorts of cleaning methods on it.

I haven't seen this new charity charm either. Anyone got a pic? I would love to see it. I have searched for it on the web with no luck. Anyone know when the new release will be out? I really want a little girl in gold (dreading the price!)

I like the new bead, I would have bought it if they had it when I went on Saturday - oh yeah, I also ordered another bracelet from Gilletts and another bead to get my free one - that makes 5 bracelets! I think I'll have to stop soon!
I think this new one will be a mix of silver and gold beads, white murano glass. There is a gold/white in one of the Pandora booklets that I have been coveting.

AS for the way beads face, I don't think there is any right way, it's just the way you like it.
I have my all animal bracelet and I have all of those beads facing outward, but there is a frog on my green bracelet and he faces in toward me.

I clean mine the way it was posted on the Pandora site, warm water, a drop of dishwashing liquid and I also use a baby toothbrush, then polish with a soft cloth. I cleaned all of mine last night and they are so shiny now :)

Thanks everyone! Can you recommend a particular brand of dish washing liquid? Can I completely submerge the bracelet in the liquid? How much water should I use? I am leery since the last time that I submerged a bracelet in water, it seemed to tarnish much more quickly after that.

I also wanted to add that I would also love a gold one. I settled for one with the gold bead clasp as my first bracelet. My engagement ring is gold and I wear mostly gold so I had to find a way to tie in the gold with the silver. I think that it works pretty well. My second bracelet has the silver Pandora bead clasp. I am trying to get a different one each time. I will just to have place mostly silver and gold beads on that bracelet in order to help it coordinate with my ring a bit better.

Thanks!

I went to a local trunk show on Friday, and was honestly underwhelmed by the selection that they had! My DH did buy me two charms -- the birthday/wedding cake and the heart lock charm with the dangling key -- for my birthday later this month.

Here are Pandora's recommendations for keeping your Pandora jewelry clean:

http://www.pandora-beads.com/cgi-bi...1=Pandora&searchspec2=Accessories&id=tgnSoTMK

Some Pandora stores have a cleaning tumbler - it works really well for getting bracelets bright and shiny! Check with a store near you - many of them offer this service. If you put your bracelet in the tumbler, remember to remove any pearls that are on your bracelet. Gold, silver, stones, and Murano are all okay but take your pearls off. It will ruin your pearls.

It's okay to get your bracelet wet but keep it away from any harsh chemicals, out of hot tubs and swimming pools.

Hope this helps!

ok, need some advice.
i have 10 charms plus safety chain, this is my first bracelet, and up till now i have been committed to being a Pandora purist. I jsut think they are way nicer thant he other brands anyway, but have always planned to only have pandora charms on there.

Well, i have always wanted one to represent the love i felt for my dog when growing up, my 2 cats i had in my 20's and my dog i have now...and chamilia beads have a GREAT paw prints one...

do you think this is worth breaking my pandora only rules for? :confused1: im thinking it is...i love it - your thoughts?
