aww, im not feeling those heart muranos either... kind of disappointing. maybe they will be better in person?

quick question for you all- I noticed in the back of the new catalog (with the bracelet on the front) that it mentions something about stretching of the bracelet not being a manufacturing defect.... has anyone had their bracelet stretch?? I haven't experienced this yet buy I'm hoping mine won't since I bought them pretty loose as it is! If you have one that stretched-- how much longer did it get?? It doesn't seem like they could stretch much??

The bracelets do stretch...not much, but they do get looser. I would say that my oldest bracelet that is full of beads, probably got larger by 1/4 of an inch, or so. The stretch more when they are worn all the time (overnight), are full of beads (remember the beads are heavy), and I think it all gets accelerated by wearing them in the shower, in the bath, or washing them a lot.

I havent posted a pic of my bracelet in a while, but it has been recently "tweaked" & I took some beads out to give it a bit more movement & I finally decided to add muranos as well(it was all 2 tone without glass). Im inspired AGAIN after looking at al the new additions here! Maybe Ill go for some pink beads next...

Lovely bracelets ladies:)

Lovely redo lolas! The more I see the blue in combination with the two tone beads the more I love it! You need to post your redo on our sister thread for pictures only!

Hi,

While I don't think it's against the rules for a "powerseller" to come in and purchase someone's entire inventory, I do think it'll change the dynamics of ebay. Maybe not significantly and maybe not for everyone, but it'll affect some shoppers. For example, if I as a "small guy" can't compete against the "power sellers" and I feel frustrated (as I do in regards to this situation) I'm likely to take my business elsewhere.

Personally, I wonder how this will affect Kendalldew. Part of me imagines having one buyer would make it very easy for her. Only one payment to collect, only one address label to make.....no sorting of beads. I could see the appeal. On the flip side, if she realizes the other person can make a profit off of her, she may be inclined to raise her prices and make a larger profit for herself.

Just catching up on the recent posts and I also think it stinks that someone is Bulk Bidding/Buying all of the beads. Yes it is a business and yes it is easier to ship to 1 address but there are also some ethics that should be followed - no?

I don't think I could bulk buy and then turn around and post the beads for more. It just seems COLD

It's not like Overstock or BigLots where they are buying in Bulk, this is 1 bead at a time - GEESH!!!

It makes me mad too, but more in a frustrated kind of way. If I had the chance to snap up every bead I wanted without giving anyone else a chance you'd better believe I would. If I was a powerseller, you can also bet I'd do exactly what this other seller did, and buy as many as I could for resale. You find your profit where you can. There isn't anything dishonest or dishonorable about it. It's like a jobber who buys all the overstock or discontinued merchandise from different manufacturers and/or retailers.

LOL I like the way you say it:)

Glamour...your bracelet is tdf! We have similar taste!

Pony..thank you!! Im in love with it all over again.

For example, if I as a "small guy" can't compete against the "power sellers" and I feel frustrated (as I do in regards to this situation) I'm likely to take my business elsewhere.

As a small seller myself...you would be surprised as to how we hold our own:) We rely on the return business of loyal customers. Good customer service goes a long way. If you take your business off Ebay than you have no other choice than to pay actual retail:( Now...talk about a mark-up!!

As a (compulsive) buyer I totally get what everyone is saying,TRUST ME...Ive been on the "nothing left by Kendelldew" end before LOL!! Being on both sides of the fence I can accept that Ebay is NO different than buying retail, with the exception of paying less than a store. Someone is ALWAYS making a profit. Please keep in mind that this is how some people make a living, and there is nothing ethically wrong with it. You buy in a fair market, you sell to the highest bidder, and if you BIN you decided IT WAS a fair price.

Im not going to continue defending it because unless you also sell, its a mute point.

I purchased a Gucci bag for $550 on Ebay then I found out it was actually purchased by the seller for around $250 at the Gucci sale ***darn it!!*** LOL.

Maybe I could've called around,maybe I couldve found it at Neimans,Saks,etc.

After I thought about it I rationalized... Hey, I WANTED it,and it was STILL a deal...and now I own it.Does it kill me to know that I could have gotten it for less...YES, but guess what I didnt. I dont regret it:)

Like it was said before...its more frustrating than anything else. Oh well.....

What would I do? I'd raise my prices. I wouldn't be surprised if this powerseller ruins it for all of us

Why would she? These items are selling at the sellers chosen price (BINs).How is it any different then a bunch of different buyers getting them? Kendell knows she can sell her beads for more...just scan through all the completed listings. She still chooses to price them the way she does, if she ups the prices it is not because people are buying from her to resell, but because the beads are costing her more. IMHO
