I have a completed Pandora. It has been done in silver and gold. No glass beads. What is the best way to clean it? I've been going over it lightly with a jewelry cloth after wearing, but I'd like to give it a more thorough going over. Is there anything, short of removing the beads and hand polishing everything individually, that will give good results.

Thanks!

one of my bracelet is mine's silver and gold too. i've asked advice from pandora SA few weeks ago. she says to clean it with the beads on the bracelet. go over it with liquid dishwash and soft toothbrush, dry it and use the polishing cloth (gently) . don't use the cloth on glass and pearl beads.

i was a bit hesitant when she said dishwashing liquid.. but it does work. :smile1:

polishing individually does have good result especially if you want to go right into every groove ;) but... i don't have the time to do that  if you have the time, go for it

oh, i thought i had responded to you also charmqueen, but I hadnt! I like the trinity spacers, even in the bronze! I have a 20cm bracelet (not sure how many inches that is) - roughly how many beads between each clip can I expect to be able to put on?
Also I am planning on a couple of clear CZs and brown CZs....should be nice.
Is there a reason your Pandora website doesnt ship to australia? Do you think it will in the future? I know a US site that ships for free to Australia for orders over a certain amount. Could that be a possibility in the future do you think?
Cheers
Ruth

Because sizes of the beads will vary, it really is hard to say how many beads will fit between the clip areas. If the beads are jammed between the clip area, the bracelet will feel stiff. The nice thing about Pandora bracelets is that it can be rearranged as you add more beads so it'll be comfortable.

It is Pandora's corporate policy that their authorized US retailers not ship outside North America. If you know of someone traveling to the US, it can be shipped to their US hotel with some advance notice. That has worked out well for many customers.

Have fun with your bracelet!

I just wanted to ask, has anyone ever lost a bracelet, or nearly lost it? is a safety chain absolutly essential if you wear your bracelet everyday? I dont know whether to invest!!

also, does taking charms on and off weaken the chain? any ideas?

thank you!!
xxxxxxx

^ I was told by the jeweler that the safety chain is more important when the bracelet is full. I'm not really sure why that is, though. I wear my bracelet everyday, and even though it's comfortable, I'm always aware of it being there. I think I would feel it right away if it ever came off, because even though it's only 1/3 full, it's pretty heavy! Also, moving the charms hasn't seemed to have any effect on the bracelet at all-- the bracelet is very strong. I do worry about my clasp breaking though, because I have a Chamilia bracelet with a delicate lobster clasp.

I've never had a problem with mine, but a friend of mine had hers come undone while in the toilet at the Drs surgery! It actually fell into the toilet and she had to reach in and get it out, I don't think she did the clasp up properly to start with.
When she told me (and I finally stopped laughing) I pointed out that if she had a safety chain, the clasp may have come undone still, but at least it would have stayed on her wrist - she bought one the next day!

thanks for confirming that, I thought that was the case - but I am also sure that there are stores out there that do break the rules!
But what I don't understand is why the beads are still cheaper in the USA than here in Australia, even when you factor in the exchange rate?

i think you also have to put in the shipping, our taxes here and maybe the retailer's profit?.

I think that the reason they say its more important once it is full is because you have a whole bracelet full of beads worth a LOT of money and you wouldn't want to lose all that money. Personally, I decided to buy a safety chain after I had about three beads on there. I also like the added detail of the chain anyway.

my husband is going to Amsterdam soon and I tried looking up if I could find a Pandora shop in Amsterdam - i found an online one but the prices are more expensive than here in Australia. I thought maybe Europe would be cheaper?
With the US prices, it depends on the exchange rate to our AUD. A few weeks ago it was the best time to buy because our dollar was so strong it was nearly 1:1 - now its gone down quite a lot so its more expensive again. Theres a bit of a saving still but not like before.
