My other package was from a lovely forum member who tracked down the retired Bear face for me and sent it from overseas. He is just adorable and is waiting for his spot next to the other retired animals on my bracelet

Got my Kendalldew package today, too! And even though out of all 7 charms only one of them is for me, I'm happy -- got my two-tone heart safety chain now. :D

it was so funny. Her packages ususally have to be signed for and I pulled up to my house literally as the postman was walking up my steps. I was so glad because if he left that ghastly orange paper and I had to pick it up at the post office, I wouldn't have been able to get there until Tuesday

Oh, it's such a pain when that happens. Even though I always complain that my mail comes so late in the day (usually after 4:00), the one advantage is that most of the time I'm home if I have to sign for anything.

I want to start a lariat necklace with a black and white theme

White Promise Bead
Yin-Yang
White Agate Forget me Not
and then some of the Asian Beads

For those of you that have this necklace already - how many beads total do you have on yours and could you post some pics?
-AND -
do you think the Asian beads will look silly the wrong way on a necklace?

Also going to need some help catching Kendalldew's sales on these

Warning: this product does NOT look the same as the super cute pictures!! At the most, even if you have the world's skinniest neck, you can get three beads on there! It isn't nearly as long as the pictures make it seem. I was so excited to start a lariat until I actually tried one on!!

I just sold mine because I need to use some money for medical bills.. BUT I thought it was pretty long! I did the same thing as you were thinking.. strung the beads and tied the knot at the bottom and it was definitely long! I never wore it though, so I figured I would sell it and let someone else enjoy it!

ponygirl.me has a pic posted on the other thread, post number 8. She has seven murano on her lariat with spacers in between.
I have a lariat as well, I normally wear at least two beads and two muranos.
I would never be able to wear the lariat doubled, however it is long enough to knot it after the beads and have a decent length tail below. ;)

As ldsquared mentioned, I've got 7 muranos and 5 spacers on my lariat and I love it. I'll try to post pictures later of all the different ways I wear it, but I can think of at least 4 different ways I've done it up. I love it and I get compliments on it all the time.

Once I started taking the pictures I remembered 5 different ways I've worn it. It's so versatile that I'll definitely buy a 2nd. I could see wearing one long and the other one looped around my neck as I've shown in the 2nd picture.

I've tied a knot at the bottom of the lariat and also behind my neck:

Here I've passed the ends through the loop and then tied a knot around the loop with the ends:

Ponygirl, thanks for taking the pics of the necklace on yourself! It's nice to actually see it on a person rather than just seeing a picture of the necklace alone because you can see where it will fall around the neck and where the beads will most likely land on the body. It's really pretty -- I think I might be wanting one of these soon :graucho:

I could use a little help with building my ocean themed bracelet. I love all the beads I currently have. My favorite bead is the Troll trinity one and it's my center bead. I finally added the two muranos which are also troll. They are gorgeous in person and have this blue/green feel and bubbles that totally remind me of water. My issue is that they are such a pop of color they over shadow the center bead. I want to bring more color to the middle, but the trinity is too small and looks weird between muranos. I'm thinking of getting another sand dollar bead to put on the other side of the trinity and then putting some blue green beads on each side of the sand dollars. Maybe some spacers with green and blue cz's.
I'm open to suggestions. What would you recommend to get some deeper blues and greens around the trinity? Thanks!!!
