if i buy any of my pandora beads off ebay i will always compare the item with pictures from the actual authorised pandora website or gilletts jewelers website. i can spend hours trying to make sure the ebay item fits the images as presented by pandora and ill ask heaps of questions (to the seller) too if im ever in doubt.

the penguin on the pandora website is shown to have multiple dots on its head.... so i would go with that one. maybe ask stephanieee i think she has an animal bracelet, she could own the penguin.

Funny, I just got mine today and cant wait to put my beads in:yahoo:Thanks for the wonderful pics!Now i know what to do with the first layer.
BTW is there a section on TPF where i can sell my pandora beads? Or do i have to go through ebay?

Why would legitimate sellers change their name? If your entire eBay business is based on your reputation which is associated with your eBay id/name, I can't understand why you would change it unless you were trying to disassociate yourself from a bad reputation. What am I missing?

I would think Pandora's stance on that would be if you want to make sure you're getting the real thing, buy the beads from authorized Pandora sellers. I have only seen a handful of eBay sellers make that claim and most were selling on eBay due to liquidation of inventory. That's not to say that all the other beads being sold are fakes, but I think we are probably taking a chance, however small, every time we buy a bead from eBay. Myself included.

I found that picture I was talking about where the "pillows" on that layer of the travel box are removed to make room for bracelets. It's in the Pandora Spring 2009 Dream Book at the bottom of page 19.

I totally agree. We do take the chance and I still wonder how some of the ebay sellers get their stock. I've gotten beads from kendalldew and bead bucket and as far as I can tell, they are authentic, but it's still a mystery where they come from

thanks for posting the pics. This may sound weird, but I always feel bad to leave beads home in the box. I feel like I should be wearing all of them. LOL. Now that I'm getting a little obsessed and keep on buying new beads, I'm gonna have to get over that unless I want to wear 3 or more bracelets.

There is a marketplace but you have to apply for access to that portion of tPf. Go to the instructions for the forum and it will give you the info you need, as well as discussion about buying/selling prohibitions, etc. It would be great if we could have a section on the marketplace for Pandora swapping!

I received a copy in the mail the other day from the Pandora store in the MOA. I made an online purchase from them about a month or so ago. It's a 23 page booklet that is pretty much a rehash of what is in the larger 70 page catalog, but there are some beautiful pics of completed bracelets I haven't seen before and of course it has the new beads and match jewelry that were just released.

OMG it is so awesome!!! I am totally getting one! Thanks for posting these pics! :smile1: I love the box that pony girl posted too but I think I'll start off with this first, since I don't have very many loose beads (yet):graucho:!
