What a fun time you have all had adding to your collections. It has taken me ages to catch up reading about your purchases.
I am off on Hols this week and I truely can't wait - my last two weeks have been horrible. Not that I have much spending money as I have spent most of it last week (between doctors bills and Pandora)
My DSD and I have added to our Pandroa collection - sadly not for a good reasons and I didn't choose any of the new charms.
We lost a little girl I was carrying(this baby making is HARD work!)
My DSD was looking forward to adding a pram to her bracelet when the baby was born and she was so disappointed (she has been waiting patiently for 4 years now and had her hopes dashed 3 times for a little brother or sister....) so I went and got her a charm anyway. I got her the pink two tone baby shoe as we know it was a girl. I also got her a necklace as her bracelet is full and myself this charm. images.gilletts.com.au/images/imagesc/q1730c.jpg
I was tempted to get the gold teddy but I really couldn't afford it and this one seemed more appropriate.
I have two gold angels for previous MC's but I didn't want the same for this one.
Any way enough of my depressing stuff - shoulders back!, lippy on!- I have packing (and some serious budgeting to do.)

Laurie_Lou - I went to my Pandora outlet yesterday and got to fondle all the new beads!! The white enamel barrel is soooo gorgeous but I couldn't justify the £50 at this time. They had replenished stocks of lots of older beads too so I spent ages in there looking!! My son picked me the penguin for my Mothers Day present, he loves penguins - although it does look a tad buddha-ish!! I'm happy with that because I was wanting a buddha bead too! I also treated myself to the new two-tone clutch/purse - its lovely!! It now looks like I have room for about one more charm plus a safety chain - wahooo! nearly time to start number two! My lovely sales lady also gave me the mini charm catalogue (2008 tho so doesn't include the new ones) and a polishing cloth - she recognises an addicted customer now!! That is worrying!

Girls Ive been going over the beads as the princess and the pea bead was killing me to work out why I hadnt seen it before!!!! I couldnt believe it when I finally found it.....I had always thought that this bead was a piece of cake!!!
And, I finally remembered what the house bead reminded me of.....want to guess???? Answer: the monopoly house bead!!!!!
Anyway Im in a silly mood today.
Do any of you girls like the new gold filigree ball that sort of looks like lace? I think that for those that like a bit of gold this one has a lot of coverage and size for the money $261 compared to the other gold beads. It is no. 75458.
I am aiming for 3 gold beads and would like this one to be my centre bead. Although I change my mind daily.
And, I finally remembered what the house bead reminded me of.....want to guess???? Answer: the monopoly house bead!!!!!

GOLDEN TOUCH i've just checked out your new bead and i think it is beautiful- I didn't realise that this bead had pink stones and a small love heart in the centre. VERY GOOD choice.

That's okay, when I first saw the Princess & the Pea bead I thought it was an old-fashioned radio!!
I actually thought the pea was a dial to change stations and couldn't figure out why there was a crown on the top. And yes, the house bead does look like a Monopoly piece!I love the gold filigree ball, it's beautiful. I think you should go for it!

Very tired and getting disappointed mum's voicemail is switching straight on and the phone isn't even ringing 1st. Not going to get to wish her happy mothers day at this rate. I usually forget most years cause ours is in May over here and no one ever reminds me!!!!

Yes, in America they do sell retired beads for that price. Not sure if anyone pays those prices, I know I wouldn't. On one website the gold strawberry is $650 US (reduced from $899 US!) I actually got my silver strawberry from an Australian eBayer for about $29 US

Littlesharon. You are right, the retired bead prices here in the US are insane! Thanks to this group, I've learned about the availability of the same beads at the normal prices (fish, shell, strawberry, chinese and zodiac symbols) and have been able to pick some up via the European ebayers (since it seems Aus jewelers can't ship Pandora to the US for some reason
). And all of these vendors have been excellent to work with. So if any of you US ladies are looking for some of the retired's let me know and I will share my sources!Yesterday I went to our local jeweler who was doing the bracelet promo. I was thrilled as I had been sooooooooooo jealous of all of you who has been sharing your finds at these events. But it was madness! Ladies stacked up 3 deep just to get to the counters and when you finally got there, a 10 minute wait for a sales associate to get to you. Given that there really wasn't even room to look at anything, I just asked did they have any retired beads? The girl said let me check and I was able to pick up two of the silver cluster beads (#79117) for $20 each! Left very happy with a new bracelet ($15 upgrade as you all described) and two new beads. I am still agonizing over the gold strawberry as they had it for $160 US but am not ready to fall down the 14K path of Pandora!
