Hey ChocolateAlful did you end up buying any??? I got the 2 tone clutch purse for $118- can you tell me how much is says it is in the new catalogue please??? Thanks only the Pandora shop had a price list with much more expensive prices. Also how much are the new gold muranos in the price list????
If you've got chance to check i'd LOVE to know the new price on the 2 tone pandora clasp bracelets- I need one but not sure whether to wait till after bday incase hubby has me one!!! If it's increased by too much I might go and layby it just incase.

Muggles, I hope you know my comment wasn't directed at you! I think buying other beads is great if you like them, heck, I have some too - but the implication we are all somehow a bit stupid for not buying the cheaper ones is annoying.

I got an invite from the Pandora shop in the GPO when they launched the Lovepods, but I didn't go because I was working, they had a very impressive invitation - a big black card...almost the size of an old record album, and it was a formal event, but I doubt they gave away any free samples of lovepods!!

Ladies I've got a big problem. Last month a gold clip (the hearts) somehow popped off of my bracelet and is lost forever. Yesterday, my daughter's silver clip with the blue CZs popped off of her bracelet and it is gone too. Has anyone else had problems with clips popping off? Are there particular clips to avoid? Help!!!!!:cursing:

Yes it was fun. Sparkling, red, white wine. :yahoo:Nibbles and new beads.

It was at Holdsworth Jewllery in Eastland shopping centre. Well attended even by an 85 year old. (not me). They were giving away GWP of Pandora small black shinny bag, compact, tote bag, large jewellery box all depending on what you brought. (Pandora GPO Melboure is giving away the small cleaning cloth if you ask when you buy a bead).

In the new bead book (Beads 2009) silver charms are still $30, silver with gems, murano & enamels have not changed either. Gold is where they change most as they say are approx 10-15% max. All 16 gold muranos are listed as $264. Clutch purse is listed as $118, Handbag $72. Silver with gem handbags $56. All three enamels $93. Hopefully this is final price rise as I wouldn't think they would print the book then rasie them again in April.

Two tone bracelets $429 up $39 - Necklace $509 up $49

As for me I ordered a Teddy bear and Murano they are great will post pics when I get. (Hopefully can get the display one or I will be see Littlesharons hubby really fast)

Hope I answered all the questions if not just ask again. Will take bead book to work toay just because.....;)

It's like difference between a designer purse or a cheap knock off. Personally I prefer the original and the quality that goes with it.
If I like a bead enough from one of the other companies I might add it (I have 3 non Pandora beads over 5 bracelets) but I won't buy beads just because they are similar and they are cheap. Of I couldn't afford Pandora, then I would rather go without.
However each to their own, but I do find the " I would NEVER spend that kind of money on a bracelet such as these" quite an offensive statement, what is "such as these" meant to mean? Cheaper is not the same, and it is not 'better', but if you are happy with your cheaper beads, then that's great for you.

I agree with you. It's an issue of quality over quantity. There are bargins to be found with Pandora -- the good hunt on ebay and the Internet -- but I would rather take my time and have fewer beads of sterling (perhaps with 14K as well) then Pandora knock-offs made of base metals.

You also make a good point re: the purses (makes me think of the ads against the conterfits seen in Harpers Bazaar mag). Part of what we are paying for with Pandora is the design and manufacturing. I have yet to get a Pandora bead that I would consider a "second" or inferior in quality -- they seem to keep to high standards and the customer benefits from that as well.

Oh no, that is so sad and upsetting. I would try to contact where you bought these clips just to try to get some closure. It doesnt cost to try.

If you truely believe they were faulty then also try consumer affairs, they have so much pulling power.

But, what often happens with the clips is that they arent clipped on exactly right. There is a spot that is very exacting that it must be clipped over or it will come off.

Of course if you and your daughter are aware of this spot and followed the directions then it must be the clip was faulty.

Girls, I have a new project with the Pandora that will be different from my normal silver bracelet. This new one has the silver bracelet with gold bead to start with. Now, I was thinking of having the bracelet almost empty with just a few gold beads or even just one to start with and 2 clips.

My question is what is the nicest gold bead or if you could just tell me what your favourite is. For me its out of the heart, the teddy, the handbag and the flower with pink cz. I really want them all....ALL!!!!!!

I havent tried any on or really seen them closely. Any opinions???? Any photos of these beads on a bracelet????

Also, any opinions on nay or yay for this project?

I think that sounds fantastic! The teddy is not my fave, but I LOVE the flower ball w/ diamonds. I think it's such a statement piece because of the width and detail.
The new filigree bead is beautiful also.
