lorna278 - Congratulations! That's awesome! I have two sisters who teach, and I know at least one of them has the apple with the worm. The bead is adorable and I think it's such a cool bead for a teacher. Let us know what you pick!

If they are thiner I wonder if they will match in with the others without looking out of place. I am actually going into Melbourne GPO tomorrow to check them out. ChocolateAlful did u make it into the city to see the new charms yet???? I went to Melbourne GPO Pandora shop today and was told they would not have the out till end of the month- something to do with not being able to load new prices yet onto their system?????

I was SHOCKED as I knew other shops in Melbourne must have them as some others on here from Melbourne had managed to get some new ones (Where from???) So why did the actual PANDORA shop NOT have them?? I was most disappointed but the nice girl in there did show me the list of new beads in black n white- but had the prices. OMG $146 from the new clutch bag and $86 for the purse with a tiny Gold bow, The new gold Muranos were $306- so $66 more than the current ALREADY EXPENSIVE cost!!!!!

Anyway thought i'd better at least buy one bead before they go up up up on 01 APRIL- BEWARE. So I got the lovely flower with Gold centre.

Disapponinted i'd not seen the NEW beads IRL yet (which was main purpose of my trip into the CBD) I marched around Melbourne in search of other stockists, with MILaw and 2 toddlers in tow-LOL Told you I was obssessed!!!

Anyway found a lovely little shop Jeeba in Australlis on Collins and they actually had a few of the new beads- YAY including the ALL the 4 new purses, which I was the most interested in. Anyway her prices were still more in line with the current PANDORA prices so I bought the new 2 tone clutch for $118- much better than PRICE on list in Mel GPO.

They had the NEW pony, purses, plain silver knott, jigsaw dangles, a resonable gold bead at $200 and something maybe 264, and the silver bead with gold flowers and diamonds, and a few others but can't think straight- too excited about putting them on my bracelet.

Off to do some rearranging and removing of some charms till i get my next bracelet.:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Loladahling I looked at the Queenbee charm today also I have the other crown bead it is one of my favorites. Decided i'd leave the beautiful bee for hubby and kids to get me a some stage. I LOVE my hearts 2- got lots on my bracelet- do take a pic and share with us when u get chance.

Girls I was thinking of buying my 26 year old sister who is a high school teacher a bracelet for her birthday- maybe i'm missing the boat but why the apple and worm for teachers- wouldn't it be a book worm???? I nearly bought the apple today for myself but decided to get it when i've lost 10ks.

Anyway the point is do u think she is likely to appreciate it???? I would of course. It would make it easier to send her stuff and i've always found birthdays hard with stupid postage costs of sending my families gifts over from OZ to uk. She's in Bournemouth do they have a stockist there so she could buy too if she wanted????

Here in the states (and perhaps abroad) there is a saying "An apple for the teacher." You'll find lots of little gifts that students give their teachers with apple themes. I googled the origin and this is what I found:

According to aboutapple.com, the juicy fruit is a traditional present for teachers in the United States, Denmark, and Sweden. Some think the practice originated as a simple gift of food for poorly paid teachers. Others believe the good health associated with apples made the present particularly meaningful.

THANKS- LOL come to mention it I think I've heard the saying before- it makes sense- I was concentrating too muchon it having a worm in it!!!
I think it's a cute charm though and sure i'll get it soon- Here's hoping as i've already lost a few kilos from starting the gym and healthy eating- hense I thought the apple once i've lost 10K's.

I'm as happy as I can be with my bracelet- just added the new ones and L:heart:VE them especially the clutch purse- just need the 2 tone bracelet now.

Pandoraholic - I am v.jealous of your two-tone crown bead, the lady in the shop said they had never stocked it in their store so it will have to be a net purchase at some point - although working how much I've spent on these beads in the past few weeks is quite alarming - I'm becoming more obsessed than with my bags!! Congrats on your weight loss, I went to the gym this morning for the first sunday in ages, maybe a new bead is the inspiration and motivation I need too!! Will take some pics and try and put them on tomorrow.
Taupy, what a gorgeous hedgehog bead you have! Will have to keep a look out for him. A girl next to me in the store yesterday bought the frog and he looked sooo cute!

Does anyone know where I could get any of the retired murano "seeing spots" or "spokes" beads? I've looked everywhere and can't find even one. I'm not sure when they retired, maybe it was so long ago noone has any stock left?

Actually, I did find one place in AU that has some of them, but they will only ship to an AU address. :sad:
