This is both funny and sad at the same time. It says so much about our societal values and our insecurities. I have to admit that I would love to have been a fly on the wall when they told the influencers they had purchased Payless shoes. Their facial expressions had to be priceless!
This was a great prank; it tells a lot about the so called influencers. I found the video.
This would have been a better if "influencers" hadn't been the attendees. People who rely on sponsored posts aren't as likely to question the company they're hoping to get money from, and are more likely to make a purchase that could potentially lead to an income stream.
I'm sure some naive person was genuinely unaware (maybe, somehow...every Payless shoe I've ever seen has been poorly made), but overall this isn't the sort of experiment you're going to get honest reactions from.

It goes to show that some people really don't care. Some will buy anything as long as they think it's premium lux .Exactly! They didn't notice the poor quality
It really says a lot about those types of people.
