Oxidation?

I have a coach Madison leather shoulder bag that has been gently used. I took it out of it's bag to use it and it has what appears to be oxidation on some of the hardware. My have an extremely dry home and am baffled by this. Is this something coach will
Fix or do they consider it normal wear?

I would take it in to the store and see what they do. I had a Kristin Spectator that had problems like that with the hardware, and they gave me a new bag.
