Fast forward a few years the 1941 designation is completely removed from the website, rogues are at the outlet, and Coach's retail department store/outlet presence is larger than ever. They train us for sales but get mad when we want them, lol.

Fast forward a few years the 1941 designation is completely removed from the website, rogues are at the outlet, and Coach's retail department store/outlet presence is larger than ever. They train us for sales but get mad when we want them, lol.
I do think they have lost their way a bit and need to pick a direction. It's like they are trying to please all the people all the time, in a way. People used to get upset that they would buy full price and then a month later the bag was in the outlet, so they stopped sending so many to the outlets for a while. But now, they still need to sell those bags that are not selling in the boutique, however, they do their best to not sell them when they reach the outlet, LOL.
I do miss the days when the price was the price and the deletes were on the floor all the time. We all know that the outlet bags never sold for their retail price, and this 70% + 20% off of an arbitrary retail price is annoying to me, especially since the time frame can be a for a day or two without any rhyme or reason.

They've been retagging them with F tags for years. (I'm talking about the paper tags, not the creeds).
I ran into the outlet in Rosemont yesterday because I am still searching for the perfect fob to decorate my new tearose applique dusty rose Bandit bag.
The had a 70% off sale going on but only a few fobs and charms were on display, mostly MFF Keith Haring fobs.
They didn't have any FP Delete items on display - the closest thing was the MFF Nomad bags in many colors.
I asked an SA if they had any items from the retail store in the back and she said "we are not selling retail items right now."
I told her I was trying to find a great fob for a deleted retail bag that I had recently bought at that store, and I asked if they had any nice fobs in the back with gunmetal or silver hardware? She went in back and checked and said that they only had gold hardware fobs.
I asked when they will begin selling their retail items and she said "I don't know, but not until the 70% off sale ends."

Dumbest thing I have ever heard that they don't want to sell the FP stuff. They could offer at a different discount on them if that is the problem!

I've heard different terms used at outlets to describe deleted full price bags including: flagship, retail, deletes, reserve, and boutique bags.
But I've also encountered some outlet staff that do not seem to realize that Coach makes different grades of products.
Yes. And I used the words Deletes, Reserve, Retail......I typically don't ask anymore, but I decided to this time. And was quickly reminded why I usually don't. lol
Yeah, every time I have tried before, I get the people that just have no clue at all what I am talking about. So I gave up.
I am going today because I have to go to another store at the outlets. I want to see if they've even put the deletes back on the floor. So, if no one answers in the meantime I will let you know when I get home. If everything is not 70% off, my guess is they will still be at 50% for the deletes if they're ready to sell them again, lol.
They weren't out except for the Nomads which were 70% off. The manager did show me the shoulder Rogue and a Charlie in burgundy, but they still were not able to sell them, so I have no idea what else was in the back room. She also had no idea when they would be able to sell them. It is obviously just as frustrating for the employees as it is for the customers.
