I have to agree on this regard. For popular items, it seems its just 1 or 2 available when it says "add to cart". I just purchased Rosalie wallet and the minute I put into my cart, I had another window open and it changed from "add to cart" to "check for availability". It did that when I purchased Neverfull DE GM and also toiletries I purchased few weeks ago. So if you are really want it, if you see that add to cart, you cannot hesitate!
I get the feeling that this is done intentionally by LV. They set a random timer on these sought after items and release them 1 or 2 at random times.
 
Literally everything I want on the online store is out of stock. I don't live anywhere close to a store so this is very irritating! I just want the neverfull in DE. Does anyone know how long it takes for things to come back in stock?

Try checking in the shopping subsection of the LV forum; there is a thread that discusses this situation. Generally the best times to check are in the evening, or early in the morning. GL.

You never really know when things come back in stock. I´d just check the website regularly and if the item you want is available, put it in the cart immediately and proceed to checkout before someone else gets it. ;)

I usually call their service line and have them check to see if there are stores that have them and you can order over the phone :smile:
This. Always call a store, or reach out to a department store that has LV inside it (Saks, Neimans), as they likely will have the bag and often times send it to you with complimentary rush shipping (I always ask for that).

Went to the boutique yesterday... and they have nothing in stock except 3k+ leather bags.... this is getting ridiculous. Virtually everything in canvas was out of stock including most SLGs..... checked the website and it seems like the same story there. I’m a loyal faithful.... but this is not fun. Not sure I’m “getting “ their marketing strategy.... at this point they are just pissing off loyal customers. I for one could easily have walked out with 3k worth of stuff had they just HAD it...... ok rant over
 
I agree. It's very bad here in the US.

Even an LV employee I spoke with agreed it's bad, and that they don't feel like LV is giving them the resources (inventory) to meet their full sales potential.
A lot of SA's have to go out of their way to source items, and when they do, they make the customer feel like was such a hard task to find the item, to take their $2500.00.

I feel like the Asian & European markets are taken care of, though.

In the last couple of weeks, I was looking for a bag charm/key holder, which doesn't show as discontinued in LV's system, but it hasn't been restocked in North America in over a month, yet every other market has it available for purchase on their website. (yes, able to place the item in your cart for checkout)

I almost ended up using ShopandBox to purchase the Key holder, but I was able to find it at Retail, from a Seller in Germany, on eBay.
