2000 skus are price increasing tomorrow!!! I was just told if u preorder something u are in fact locked in at that price
So if I ordered something before the increase I will get the "old" price?
That’s what my SA told meSo if I ordered something before the increase I will get the "old" price?
Texas, yuck! Please no more USA factories. I get the whole “America First” crap, but keep that to Chrysler, Ford, and Carrier. I had a very (expensive) sofa made in Texas and was not at all satisfied with the quality of the piece. Not to say that all Texans are bad at manufacturing goods, but would greatly prefer an old school European artisan with experience passed down from generations, not to say they wouldn’t be sprinkled in the factory like San Dimas, but the majority of the artisans will not be European Artisans, that I can tell you!
[applause]Yeah, so I live in Texas, and this comment... just wow.
We have quite a few large and small factories here in Texas, as well as many smaller, artisan brands that produce wonderful quality products. We also have a pretty decent amount of experience in producing high quality leather goods - custom boots that cost as much as an Hermes bag, saddles, etc., so we may in fact have your old school artisans with their generations of experience passed down. Just because someone happens to be born in Europe does not mean they are automatically more skilled at creating a quality product than an American, African, Filipino, Canadian, or anyone else. (I also doubt most LV factory employees are old school artisans, instead of the reality of employees on a high tech factory assembly line. A recent Guardian article mentioned that, at least at the brand's factories in Romania, "the craft is not handed down through generations. Most of the workers are trained on site.") Do you truly believe that simply because your bag is stamped "made in France" it was hand-assembled by an old school artisan whose so-called "European craftsmanship" was learned through generations of family?
I live fairly close to where the new LV factory will be here in Texas. I think it will be very nice, offer more local jobs, and I'm excited for it. I own several LV pieces of various manufacture - US, France, Spain - and I personally notice NO quality difference in any of them. The last LV bag I purchased is made in USA, and that's fine with me. I assume that is due to the brand maintaining control and ensuring that the quality is the same in each facility regardless of location.

The only LV pieces made in Romania are the SA’s uniforms. So what exactly does that statement prove? No offense to you or Texas, but that is my opinion as well as many others. Sorry if my comment wasn’t PC enough for you! Enjoy your 10K Texas made saddles but I will stick to European made pieces from European companies. “That’s a beautiful bag, where is it made? “Texas” Oh, sorry I thought LV was a luxury European brand, not made in the same place that makes Cowboy saddles and shotguns.Yeah, so I live in Texas, and this comment... just wow.

) I added that baby to my cart and hit “Process”; on cloud nine that I was getting one of my slg wish list items. I was then informed the product was now out of stock.
