Oh cottonblanc I swear I look forward to your posts every time! You're such an asset to the Celine forum! Thank you for posting this pic. It's wonderful to see the inspiration for THE bag ;)

Interesting. She didn't design it from scratch then, but borrowed certain elements from a previous style. That doesn't take anything away from Philo, though.

It'd be interesting to know what the Trapeze was inspired by.

Great info!!! I never payed attention to the old brand before, i'm glad Philo saw the potential of this original silhouette. But... Do you guys think that if it wasn't Philo who revived the brand, it will be as popular as they are now?

^ I think it's a decorative homage to the original.

Interestingly, the original luggage also shares a profile with the 2010 minis that got super slouchy with use - thinking of the photos of Alessandra ambrosio's mini. Perhaps they were supposed to.

I still don't get it. So it is a relict only installed on the back on the new version, instead of frontal and on the back side and without the strap? What for then?

On the old design, it has a function which is to tie the front flap to the the back.

In the new design, it doesnt have a function but rather just design. However some people say they tend to hang things there.

Thanx for your reply. :smile1: Ya, fun and strange even for a design detail, that they only keep one of those things at the back where you cannot see it the most time anyway... But probably that's the thing with design - one don't necessarily needs to understand the purpose... ;)
