I would get the blake in orange and the stam in black. If I could only get one and I had a lot of black bags, I'd get the black in orange!

Is the Stam actually available anywhere? Actually what I'm thinking is the Blake in orange and a Sophia in black. (Though have to wait on both, am already over my bag budget!)

I don't have a lot of black bags, but then I don't wear as much black as I did a few years ago. My few black bags are old Monsac bags (and my favorite one has mildew in the lining, boohoo!), which was why I was thinking about updating my black bag as well.

Great plan. I love the Sophia! You might be able to pickup a black stam from the resort 06 at Barney's, NY. I snagged one a couple of weeks ago. Otherwise the ss06 black should be out in Feb sometime.

At first sight, the epi mandarin is totally crazy, but since my clothes are so solid, the bag is really wonderful. It goes with EVERYTHING!!! Its one of my favorite bags right now, classic but wild!

So....I went back and looked at the Blake in orange again and decided against it. I like the color, but don't love it. It felt like I was trying to talk myself into it. I do want a Blake in a nice color, but am going to wait and see what colors they come out with in the summer and fall. I've found myself an SA at NM who's going to keep an eye out for me and let me know when new colors come in. MJ has a color I've been seeing online, "Raisin" which looks really nice (deep red). I don't know if that's a new or older color, but I'm going to hold out for something along those lines that feels classic and versatile.

Today at NM I saw some Tod's bags in the most beautiful shade of orange. I was very tempted but I was there picking up a Judith Leiber so I had to refrain ....

Are you careful about it getting dirty? I like that color but I am afraid that it will scuff up or something.

I have a true orange/pumpkin balenciaga and little did I know it would compliment so many outfits. It's a hot color as long as it's rich and not bright & obnoxious. Right now it's one of my fav colors for spring, right up there with lilac and apple green.

I really think it depends on the "orange" and the style of the tote. For instance, I definitely think Hermes and the LV EPI line look really cool in orange. I also think that some oranges look pretty neutral, and really spice up an all black outfit (or anything truly dark).
