I’ve been on the hunt forever for the Oran in a “vert” leather .I know vert anglais is out in shearling . I was told vert jade will be out soon, has anyone seen this colour out in boutiques yet?
I also have the vert cactus and vert pomme, both epsom. Vert pomme I purchased July 2022 from the boutique during a visit. My SA placed a SO for the cactus in Nov. 2022 and it came into the store Jan 18, 2023. So, you may be able to have some luck tracking cactus down

My recent purchase were the Oran sandals. I wore them maybe 5 times so far and last weekend I noticed that the leather started to peel on both right and left shoe (picture attached below)! I went to the store today and they told me it is a "normal wear". Is it really 'normal' after wearing them 5 times only though?? Does anyone have a similar experience? I am soooo disappointed, I was already thinking of buying another color but now I really don't think I will be spending this much on shoes of this quality  sandals.jpeg

Reviving this thread! Please share your pictures of outfits with denim orans :amuse:

I’ve seen a few comments about ppl mentioning that the denim hurt their feet more than other materials of orans. Please share your experiences, as I’m going to my store to try on a pair later this week. Thank you!
Can’t share a full outfit but will in the future!
I have the light denim and also the darker version. I wore them non stop for 2 weeks in extremely humid weather in South America my feet were a bit swollen from humidity but they didnt hurt! Hope this helps (lighter version) I find the darker version more stiff

I'm so torn! I've had just one pair of Orans (box calf, gold) for about a year, and picked up a pair in vert cactus epsom at my boutique earlier in the year. It was a surprise to see them in-store and I've been incredibly excited to actually wear them once the weather in Boston improves! They haven't even come out of the box because it has been nothing but chilly and/or rainy here... But I was just browsing h.com and saw these new box calf Orans in Vert Electrique: https://www.hermes.com/us/en/product/oran-sandal-H202230ZvI0350/ Now I can't stop wondering if I'd be better off with the very similar green in calf vs. epsom :confused1: Since the cactus Orans aren't even out of the box yet, I haven't tried walking around in them, but understand calf is much more comfortable!

I am fine with either box calf or epsom and think they are both pretty comfy. (somehow orans work on my feet differently from year to year)

I think the color saturation is better with epsom

You just made me feel much better, especially with the the point re: color saturation - I really love the idea of having very green sandals on my feet all summer! Worth at least putting them on my feet and walking in them before I write them off as inferior to calf...

I'm usually incredibly decisive about what I like or don't, and "purchase regret" is foreign to me, so had been feeling a lot of unfamiliar turmoil all day after seeing those calfskin Orans!

I am a fan of box calf bags. My feet are temperamental. Some summers, I swear orans (in box calf) which are supposed to conform to the foot, are suddenly uncomfortable. Other summers, they are fine. No idea why. It takes me a while to break in box calf orans. The leather is a bit thicker ans chewier. You would think the epsom wouls be stiffer, but they are not. They are relative,y pliable, and they somehow stick less to the feet on a hot summer day. So, in a real sense, I think they are cooler. (Hope that is not too much info). I think they run a hairs breath larger, but not enough to make a difference. I chalk this up to them being slightly thinner leather. I have both. Epsom is pretty sturdy too. (I learned this when I spilled an inch of carbonated water in my 25B sellier and walked hime unknowing. Apparently the bag is water tight and dried with pout a fuss when I put it over a wine bottle up side down. So you could say I am a recent convert to epsom lol.

Super helpful! Thank you as always for taking the time to share your insights and experience! I shall plan to strut my green epsom Orans as soon as this rain dissipates and temperatures rise a bit!

I can only imagine the moment of realization about the water! :wtf: So glad your bag dried unscathed! That's also good intel for yours truly, since I've been known to have a water-related mishap or two...

I received the Orans and Oasis sandals I ordered in my usual size. They fit to the millimeter. Unfortunately, my feet are skinny, so both sandals kept flying off my feet. I even tried a shoe pad. No luck keeping my feet in the sandals.
Oran’s and Oasis sandals are not meant for my feet. Boo!
Have you tried using the "peep toe" socks or foot pads?

I got sheers from Amazon because I am more interested in keeping the insole a little clean, but for your particular issue, a thicker one may be better. You can search for "peep toe socks" or "toeless socks". They have full foot ones and just front ones. Maybe ones like these may be useful for you.
The link in your last sentence are perfect!
Thank you so much for this suggestion!❤️
