Oprah Winfrey hits the red carpet at the 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Saturday (January 18) in Los Angeles.

The 59-year-old entertainer was joined on stage during the show by her Lee Daniels’ The Butler co-star Forest Whitaker to present a clip from their film, which is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Oprah received a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role while Forest was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role.

I'm no a fan, but Oprah has always been political. The only difference now is that she has a personal relationship with the current regime. She had shows related to just about every big political moment in this country.

That's what I've always remembered as well...I find it so odd that people now are having a problem with her being "political"...well no I actually don't find it odd...I find it to be what I expect.
