Opinions on split shank?

I loved the way my little bands looked stacked next to the split shanks I tried on
But I don't like bands to sit flush w/ one another really.

I agree - the only thing i dont 'like' about my new setting will be that the wedder sits up against the e-ring band but doesnt matter ;-)

I think your stone is so big and gorgeous that the split shank will really 'showcase' it :graucho:

I think split shanks can be absolutely beautiful when done well. They look so feminine and graceful.

The only con I see about them is being able to find a wedding band that will fit well with it.

ITA!^^ I have a custom split shank and have been trying to find an anniversary band for a while now. I have almost given up. It is so hard to find something that can go with the ring without trying to take away from it...

But, I get a lot of compliments on my split shank...it's actually a crossover ring but can still classify it as a split shank. Good thing is, I have never ran into anyone else who has a similar style ring so that's a plus ;)

My friend tried the Tiffany split shank Lucida on the other day. She said that it is quite beautiful. I forget if the diamond was .41 or .44. But I wrote the specs in my other thread. I believe the price was $5100. So yes, they are available!
