All you really need to do to get a salesperson to help you at Bergdorf's is buy one expensive item from them...

Well, I've made one purchase from this woman and it was just under $2k. I had her searching for one of two more expensive Bottegas but she came up empty. Its too soon to tell....

My Balenciagas are black (le dix), teal/acqua (le dix) and white (the hobo). The white one got really dirty unfortunately..If I was goin to buy another (which I want to; I want the bigger motorcycle one) I would get the maroon/wine colored one. It is really nice. So is the caramel.

Sounds like you need a Balenciaga 12-step program! You should be BalenciagaBagLady! Think Thailand, not maroon!

Totally. I have forced myself to be done with Balenciaga - for the next couple months at least. I may want them but no more. I need a vacation too badly - I have not been away since last January, when I went to Italy. I promised myself that with the Silverado, I was done with daytime bags until Christmans/Hannukah. I can buy a clutch but no more daytime bags.

I was Fendibaglady because of Carrie Bradshaw...A Sex and the City reference...but I do love Fendi. They are very hit or miss though. I have the Spy, which I love, but this season they are a bit off. They are either great or hideous.

Good luck with your promises to yourself. I know I make them and then break them.

I actually don't own any Fendi handbags. I have one black Selleria tote but that's it. This forum discussed Spy bags before. I only like the handles. I don't like the rest of the shape and none of the embellishments I've seen have lured me in. Another bullet dodged.

True, true - the Spy was COSTLY. I was just reading "Elle Accessories" while at CVS and saw some amazing handbags that I had not seen before...It is a good (dangerous) magazine. I LOVE that Novak bag. And they have some beautiful Chanels.

Oh I had not heard of it before either. I saw it randomly at CVS while waiting for my prescription. It is a good magazine. And not too many articles, just pictures, which makes for a quick read. I think it maybe a supplement. I subscribe to Elle and I did not get the Accessories version, so maybe it comes out monthly.

Hi Everyone. New here but another handbag fanatic:love:!

I have both the Paddington and the Hobo and I use my hobo a LOT more. It's so easy to just hang it on my shoulder AND it's more unusual. Just my two cents.

You lucky lady! Welcome to the forum, you obviously have exquisite taste.

I'm now wishing I had bought the hobo when I had the chance...They had an olive green at BG but I waited because I wanted the SIlverado and a Chanel. But on Monday at BG I saw a woman with a blue hobo and it was so gorgeous!

BTW, L'Shana Tova to those of you that celebrate the Jewish new year.

I wonder if its the Mommy from my daughter's school who has a blue hobo..... Upper East Side/private school mommies tend to frequent BG.

I know EXACTLY the kind of mommies you are talking about!! I grew up in private school and my mom refused to ever be the typical mom, but I always saw it!
