Opinions? DBTY Solitaire *or* DBTY Multi-Stone?

I'm looking for honest opinions, ladies...

If you had the choice, which would you choose:

A Diamonds by the Yard style solitaire necklace (approximately 0.17ct) or a Diamonds by the Yard Multi-Stone necklace with seven (7) stones that are 0.05ct each?

My mother gave me those two options as my holiday gift this winter, and I'm torn... I don't own either, and I'm not sure which to tell her I would prefer?

another vote for solitaire. the single larger diamond has more presence. on the multistone, the diamonds are pretty small. but maybe try both on in the store if you can before making a decision

I would definitely go with the solitaire. It will be so pretty at that size.

Solitaire. It's more versatile. The multistone would be harder to coordinate with outfits, IMO, and the smaller diamonds would blend in more with the chain. It has more pattern and less presence (IMO).

I would think the solitaire would sparkle more too.

The solitaire is more of a statement piece...I would use the multi-stone as a fancy chain to use with a pendant.
