OPI Gelcolor

Ferretkingdom thanks for the ad ice about the wrinkling. It only happens when I do OPI. I have tried the OPI base and have gone back to gelish. I will try it with my OPI and see if that makes a difference with shrinkage and wrinkling.

I have also had a few times that after I put on my base and cure it looks like orange peel or almost leopard spots. It fixes itself when I put color coats on. I do my coats as thin as possible. I have been doing gelish manicures for over a year and read almost every post on here about sog manicures.

I have LeChat Madras. It looks like a slightly pinker version of Shellac Negligee, or OPI Rosy Future. It is a sheer, pale pink with a blue flash (iridescence). It's very pretty.

Pisco Sour is closer to Beau. It's got a sheer whitish base with a violet flash. It's also close to IBD Just Gel Seashell, which has the same color flash.

I was trying to decide between Pisco Sour and Madras - now I want both! Haha, thank you!

This is a picture of my coral colours on the left is IBD Mango Mischief which has a beautiful shimmer. On the right is OPI My Chihuahua Bites which has no shimmer and is a dupe for Rimmel Coral Queen.

Both photograph a similar shade but without flash the Mango Mischief is more orange. Both are gorgeous!!

Yes! And I Eat Mainely Lobster is as close a dupe for Chanel Fracas as a gel can come.

OPI is also releasing The Great Oz collection in GelColor, too. They are releasing every color but What Wizardry is This (liquid sand).

FYI- the Morenailpolish blog did a review on the RNP release of this and found curling glitter in When Monkeys Fly (very obvious in the large gold hexes). It will be interesting to see if they remedy this in the gel color version.

Hey Susan great to see you- I find OPI gel colors to be inconsistent even when shaken and put on thin. However, when they do a glass flecky one I grab it (i.e. On Her Majesty's Secret Service is AWESOME & formula is perfect). Can't find The World Is Not Enough anymore but I'm searching.

Please let us know if you see improvements in their formula. I still purchase them because the colors are great. They are thinner and almost oily compared to CND Shellac which is my favorite formula.

I can't wait to see the colours (in gelcolor) actually applied to the nail.

I think I'll get I Theodora You in gelcolor and What Wizzardy Is This as RNP to paint over gel manicures when I'm bored of the colour.

I'm not too hot on the colours from this collection, my friend and I thought they picked the 'meh' colours and only one of the wow colours - disappointed....
