 I haven't had that happen to me... yet!

Good luck with your new lamp (and may you have a speedy delivery). The one thing that annoys me with my light is that it kind of weirds out my eyes if I look at it for more than a few seconds.
yes, everytime the door bell rings.. I run to it like my puppy (waiting for my lamp) I actually growl under my breath if it's not there. .. You really should not look at the light, as mesmerizing as it is...In 5 or 10 years they may find it hazardous in some way. Some of my clients end up staring at their nails under the lamp... so I tell them they could go blind.. then they stop. But they like to look at their nails 'glowing'.
But seriously, I'm really putting so much hope into this 18g.. I cannot wait to try it on my nails. Everyone I do now, with my other LED lamp last 2 to 3 weeks..I get about 6 days for myself.. on average. If the 18g makes a difference I'll be so psyched.

Hi - can anyone help me find a cheaper alternative for the OPI Gelcolor lamp? I currently have a 12W led (I think its LED anyway) that worked well for Gelish polish but doesnt work well for OPI Gelcolor.

Im hoping there is a cheaper alternative as I really do not want to speed $400.

Thanks alot!

Sephora by OPI Gelshine system. You would have to buy the whole set, but it's still cheaper at 159$ and the lamp worked perfectly fine with my OPI Gelcolor in Passion (my only color though).

Can anyone offer suggestions for colors that apply easily (ie little/no shrinkage)? I know Lincoln Park After Dark :)

Thanks!

It's better to just mention the colors that DON'T apply easily, since those are fewer I think. But it's different for everyone--people have mentioned unevenness and shrinkage with Lincoln Park, for example, but other times I hear no mention of it. I thought "Tomorrow Never Dies" was tricky and shrank on me, but someone else told me they had no problems (all the other Skyfall Gelcolors work great, though, I can say that). People have also complained about My Private Jet, too.

You might want to browse through the OPI gelcolor swatches thread (http://forum.purseblog.com/nail-care-reference-library/opi-gelcolor-swatches-only-723924.html), since a lot of people seem to mention if the polish they used had a "problem formula" or not.

Thanks. I have looked at that. I hear more things about difficult application, that's why I asked for those that were easy :) Either way!

The Sally Hansen light is the exact same light, but at half the price. The Sally Hansen Gel polishes are the same formula as the OPI gelcolor.
