OP next to member names?

I've been looking all over and only found the one closed thread here that doesn't explain what the new "OP" next to some members names is for?

Is it an "online" indicator?

Every person that starts a thread will now be listed with "OP" in that thread, as the "Original Poster". It just helps others know that the person who started the thread
