Ok they are amazing Tracey but do you really need two of them? I know they are different colours but they look so similar. I realize I may now be sounding like a mom (which I am but you are not my 7 year old!). Anyways they are gorgeous so congrats and enjoy (but consider keeping one chèvre brilliant and perhaps another different one like the blue crochet)...
NEED? Oh gosh no. Need went out the window a long time ago! WANT? Ok yes. My little OCD brain likes little pairs. Seriously it's like a disorder. I have 2 trendys, 2 chevron minis, 2 top handle boys, 2 small boys, 2 pagodas, and now 2 chèvre brilliants. I swear, it's a thing. If there were 3 I would not have gotten 3. It's like a pairs, even number deal. For sure cray cray, but yeah, welcome to my brain, where no one should venture in alone....

The little boys are so fun. I've loved that pink one forever and the chain is a bit longer than the old medium. The top handle boy chain is like 6" longer so way better. But the small ones work

And you don't like these other 2? To me it was a slam dunk because of where I live. Super casual and edgy. I love the bicolor. [emoji51]

Loving the boys! I'm completely sold on them...love the silhouette!

Just not feeling the crescent bottom of the other...nor the hardware? Nor the sideways asymmetrical chevron...? Doesn't feel fresh and crisp like the boys..?

You know what maybe it's one of those looks better in person bags. I walked in and was like WHOA what are THOSE! I would say it's like Chanel meets Chloe? And the strap is very long which is nice for me. I was thinking of them as bags that were a bit more under the radar, that I could travel with to Europe or Mexico with or when I am in places I don't want the Chanel-dom to totally exude (but I know it's a Chanel ha ha). I have 3 categories of bags - 1) travel - duffles, totes, 2) daily bags - my 2 old med top handle boys, the trendys, these 2, a few other seasonals (accordion, pagodas, etc) - and then 3) small bags - the small boys, the pyramid navy, the square minis, etc. that I use usually while traveling for shopping or sightseeing or evenings when I don't want or need everything. So, of the 3 categories, these fit the daily bags in a much more low key way than the trendys or the top handle boys or the dressy pagodas. Does that make sense? Today I was thinking, maybe I should go get some Balenciagas or something for this purpose, and then I just knew I wouldn't love them like I love C.

I am going to think on them tonight. The boys, yes, you're right, solid solid solid. The other 2, yes they are great, but I might rather choose one AMAZING bag for less than 2 seasonals. I didn't take them back, she was going to wait to ship them....

I get why you were drawn to them...they are not standard C fare...they do have a different vibe, I agree with that. But. It doesn't feel as elegant IMO as the boys. There is nothing 'signature' about it and whilst I get it's under the radar....it didn't even *blip* as it passed through....when I see the boys my heart flutters. The pink is cute, the burgundy has attitude with the chains and the light one feels like it could go on a cruise or have a night out? The pink is also a great pink, not too pale but not too saccharine either....

The shape of the Chloe-esque bags doesn't make my heart sing. But to be fair, I'm not really enamoured of either colour combo and wouldn't choose them on colour alone. Perhaps they do need to be seen with the hands to feel their potential and their texture? In a way I can see them in winter with a black turtle neck, jeans and boots...? Still not sure I'd travel with them....I'd worry too much...

Are the crochets still off the table? [emoji12]

Oh gosh ManilaMama what a very nice thing to say. And going at the pace I am going, clearly bank robbery will be the next job I will need to pick up. Need a wingman(girl)?!

The crochet are gorg for sure, but they are flimsy. And SO expensive. 4800, and not lined in leather, not very structured, and despite the beauty, feel very fragile. Also the chain has a hell of a time moving through the bag, and you have to open up the flap to force it to move. One of my pet peeves. I am gonna go scour Vegasland again today and confirm or reject yesterday's choices. HOWEVER I am taking my new pink boy so that one clearly wins!

Hi Elizabel -

Yes the crochets must go. Look ^^^^ for my reply and some concerns about them. But you are right in one regard, that so under the radar is SO UNDER THE RADAR, and one of the reasons we buy Chanel, at least I do, is a little bit of in your face when you go out. I DO want people to know I am carrying a Chanel! It's a conversation starter. I had the nicest interaction with a Swede pro poker player last night because he stopped me, and told me his wife just got the bag I was carrying. I can't tell you how much that has happened! And these, you're correct. I don't think it will generate that kind of fanfare.

Now, I did not get the white small boy. I was deciding for 2 of the 3, and chose the burgundy and the pink. The white is still out there, and it does come in old med size, and these boutiques have like, a thousand choices for boys and sizes. They also have my trendy cc in blue, which is one that I ALMOST got (I have in camel and black and it's everything to me that Chanel looks like and 'stands for'). So I could either return the 2 casual "chloe" ones and just get nothing else, or get another small boy (white one) or an old med (maybe white) or get something more timeless like the trendy in blue. Or, go over to NM and grab a couple of Balenciagas for some switch up?

Oh! also, they did have the small boy in that beautiful mint green. I saw it on the stock thread awhile ago and went bonkers. They have sold out of it but can order it. Let me see if I can find my pic of that....and also, the around the corner bags, which are super great choices for daily bags.

Ooooooooh!

So back up the truck just a bit....so as much as I didn't love the crescent shaped bags....I'm luuuuurving the black and the camel....those exude modernity and feel like a fresh take on a flap...both are totally divine and will absolutely have longevity. Are they identical? Or why do I get the feeling the camel has a leather strap on it? No matter, you can throw me off the scent of these.

The mint is cute...but I think it's too pale and pastel and I think the pink covers that need with lighter clothes, wearing white, feeling summer etc. if you needed variation the camel is your friend...year round!

Also - totally agree on letting the white boy go and getting pink and burgundy...

Am really loving shopping vicariously through you - and I'm loving the process you are going through!

Yes to number one....also fills the void of the minty coloured number?

And then....the other two not as appealing....

Wait!!! Are number 1 and 2 the same? If so the lighting plays a big difference....

Where's your thinking at?

E x
Ok they are the same, the white-ish one. And totally utilitarian! The bronze one IRL is TDF. Really. I did not take a good picture there.
It's very different than the burgundy with chains or the pink of course. I was thinking about a white small boy, but I wanted a white everyday bag, and maybe one more small boy as a neutral. SO WHEW OMG OK. I think I've completed my collection. I've got my regular day bags and I've got my great assortment of travel/ small bags. The around the corner bags are amazing, and I would have gone that direction but they are just a little too close to the trendys which I paid SO much for and haven't used yet...

Thank you for sticking with me through this crazy fun process. I think I am feeling pretty darn good about wrapping it up. Now I get to "shop from my closet".
