One convo split into two

Yesterday someone started a conversation with me. I get email notifications of these. When a reply is posted, I get another email. When I click on those email links, for the first one, I can only see the first post of the convo. When I click on the email about replies, I see the rest of the convo on tpf. The reply is showing it was posted earlier than the start of the conversation. Maybe that is the problem? So basically in my conversations, I see two conversations with the same name with the same participants.
