Not seriously yet. I asked the local guy not to unset the stone assuming it wasn't unset by Vatche already so that I can at least "wear it" til I figure out what I want. I also was asked by the insurance co to get the estimate for replacement together so that they can prepare the rest of the claim paperwork and payment pending release when I do get the setting to them.

I had an A Jaffe I liked (not loved) that I inquired about today but they won't make the change I requested (set it higher) and it's final sale regardless. The same jeweler offered a "custom" copy of it, again final sale, and actually got kind of aggressive when I asked what if I wasn't happy with it.

I actually did see that on Pearlmans when I was going through their settings earlier yesterday. I don't really want pave or a halo just because it's impractical for my life. I am a giant PITA because I want simple but "different" and I also don't really want custom from being so burned in the past from it.

I don't mind it but I don't prefer 4 prongs. That seems to be the VAST majority of what's out there though. I don't know if it will "go" with my channel set though, with the milgrain.

Have you considered Leon Mege? i know you have posted previously that you didn't like his CS, but his work is amazing, and you'll get exactly what you want.

sidenote- i started following him on IG and i love his sense of humour :D

I haven't really. Besides my thoughts on his CS, he's also not really known for solitaires, and I don't want to waste a pave specialist's time on a solitaire.

Ritani makes a very nice six prong knife edge and the diamond sits very high. Very good price point too for platinum. I've thought about switching to this setting. I'm having a hard time uploading the pics or link.

Thanks! I need to get my orders finished up so I can get all the artwork for my backlogged posts done and post things! I had blocked off a lot of time for my brother's wedding work this year, and then had a bunch of fall weddings after his to knock out, so I am almost done with those now. The accident just complicated things, and has really made getting to and from my vendors a little harder since we're sharing a car, and borrowing cars here and there. My new car won't be here for a while longer since we ordered it. I have all of these post drafts sitting there just waiting for photos so I can get them up!

I was hoping my ring would be back here today, but I guess it wasn't shipped overnight.
