I was going to say the red patent but if your hubby doesn't like it, I would go with the jade carly. Personally I think the cotton will hold more dirt and be harder to clean than the patent.
After working with shoes for so many years, I've found out it isn't the cheapest/easiest to make real patent leather and the ergo patent is not a cheap patent. Most shoes you see in patent nowadays are fake patent (man made). When we used to get real patent leather in the shoe store, they used to be at least $20 more than the other shoes (and they were kids shoes, not many people wanted to pay for them). But of all shoes, canvas, leather, patent, the patent was the easiest to clean (aside from being able to throw canvas shoes in the washing machine, I don't think you want to do that with a purse).
If Coach treats the canvas or if you can do it yourself, that would keep it from getting as dirty.
