I'd be interested in hearing what they told you re: cleaning the bag.

I haven't had to clean my bags, but others have recommended having the bags dry cleaned.

Besides dry cleaning, anything else that we could do at home? My sis bought me a velvet gray handbag 3 wks ago for my bday and today was the first time I used it. I brought it to a party and someone spilled sauce on it  Please help!

my very first velour JC bag was bought by my then bf (now hubby). someone spilled something on it and what my hubby did was he used a toothbrush and brushed it with just plain water then let it dry out. try doing that on a small spot, coz that's what my hubby did and when he figured the result was okay.. he started brushing the rest of the damaged spot. GL

Thanks! I'll try that.

hi girls heres how i clean mine.. u will need a few hours
i start with a tub or bath fill with warm water
let the bag get wet dont worry about the leather its ok,
i gently rub in some shampoo be care full not to scrub as this damages the velour
rince clean , this takes some time as its so thick make sure to rince the lining
once u feel its clean (if not repete the shampoo) i use hair conditioner (i find it stops it from being *crunchy*
rince the conditioner from bag once again in and out making sure its all gone
then the time consuming part... pick the bag up with a towel and dry with a hair dryer on med setting be carefull to not have hair dryer to close to leather parts as this may damage the leather
i think from memory it took well over an hour poss two to completly dry the bag then polish up hardware with a jewelry cleaning cloth

I bought a black velour daydreamer and I find the quality horrible for the price, the black faded so much and looks almost brownish wish I could get it redied or something!
