OK...I don't think I've grown up!

I think any age can wear either one of them. I believe I prefer the initials, even though my old eyes cannot figure out what the letters are. However, the name plate is gorgeous, too - but not if you feel like you'd be self-conscious in it. Aren't I a big help??

Seriously, they are both beautiful and appropriate for anyone!

Nameplate is definitely for a younger person. Royalty has been wearing their family crests or initials for generations. The name is a little more fashion and trend. The initials are classic. I have a friend that even layered her diamond monogram with pearls and a cashmere sweater. It was beautiful.

So do I :) But the second one is gorgeous too :)
Thanks!

Aesthetically, I prefer the nameplate, but agree with the others' reluctance to shout one's name out to the world. The monogram is pretty, but busy and scrolly and illegible.

Instead, what about a pave initial? I love the Old English, a nod to the nameplate's urban roots.

I love the Old English...a bit different. But I'd want my 3 initials on a chain. If I like how the necklace comes out I may buy the nameplate.

Thanks, doll...if it's good enough for the Royals, it's good enough for me! LOL!
It's not a small piece 1.25 diameter, so I'm hoping to wear it alone but the pearl idea does sound good. My Mother left me a gorgeous strand of pearls, that I never wear, this could be my chance. Thanks for the idea!!!

The Old English font is definitely fresher and edgier, so it's really what style you want to go with (more classic vs. more contemporary). I believe any of them would look fabulous; I'm just biased because I have a soft spot for the script monograms (both on jewelry -- cutouts and lockets, tags, etc,-- and everything else!). Can't wait to see what you get!

LOL!
I ordered the monogram...if I like it I may order the nameplate!

Thanks!

Post pics when you get it. Would love to see how fab it looks. Esp if you wear it with your Mom's pearls.

Both are beautiful but I actually prefer the monogram. I see that u have ordered it? I prefer it precisely bcos it isnt that easy to make out the alphabets & like some said, there is a bit of mystery to it. Like wearing a little secret only u know : )

The name plate is very pretty & sweet though!

I'm surprised so many of you like the nameplate. LOL!
I'd love to get Cathy Waterman's "Thorn" Initial necklace but not for 14K. So the next best thing was the round monogram. I'll be 62 next month and very tall...I don't want to look too little girly. KWIM?
But I'm going to rethink this.......................thanks, girls!
I would go for the round one, in my opinion I think if you are over forty the name plate is way too young looking.
