No, she really is dumb.

Back in her heyday, she was called to testify something and I was embarrassed for the school system as to what she didn't know. She didn't know what Germany was (a country) she didn't understand fundamental math skills, she didn't know Hawaii was a US state even though she had been there. This was someone who had to use her first name as her password which is why it was easy for someone to get into her phone.

I guess she matured enough to try to convince her fans she was a bit more clever, but she was in the news almost every day and we watched the trainwreck in real time.
Well. There's book smart and there's street smart. I don't think she completed high school and read somewhere she has learning disability. But I think she's very street savvy. It's not easy to make so much money being a bimbo. And she did. Continues to do so.

Yes, she relied on her family name, but it was her that initiated the whole reality TV, no? She's actually a revolutionary of some sort, and brought the US and the world to another sphere- not a better one. But one that she profits off of.

I am not really a fan of Paris Hilton as I remember back when she had that show with Lionel Richie's daughter I thought it was pretty lame but maybe I am not the intended market for that.
But that Wahlberg house is off the chain. I have always been a sucker for those old - way too big - French style homes.

Yes, she made money, lots of money, but remember when she kept losing her poor little dogs, over and over again. Remember when she left her diamond engagement ring (to one of the original BFs) in the bathroom, remember when she was robbed because she doesn’t lock her doors, remember when she thought she could take drugs into Japan or her stacks of perfectly good/new, but discarded, laptops because she didn’t know they could be charged, made horrible racist remarks and as I mentioned, my favourite - she used her first name as her phone password which was why she got hacked.

Yes, she got lucky with her name, being featured in Vogue as a teen (I still remember the article where they (her sister as well) bragged about calling downstairs for cokes because they didn’t know what a kitchen was) plus she had a great look for the time and her soon to be sex tape…

She says she is pretending to be dumb, but we have no proof when we listen to her speak that she is smarter than she says. Anyone can have a ghostwriter write their bio.

She made a lot of careless mistakes. She's irresponsible at times. Her previous choices of men were questionable. Her mansions are too big, she's scatter brained. Yes, I agree she may seem like a total ditz. But year after year, she's raking in the money she does? She's gotta be doing something right at the right time over and over and over again.

Meanwhile, I remember things correctly. I went to Ivy League schools. I received lots of accolades along the way. I worked at the finest investment banks,....I started my own business, I worked myself to death to give myself and my family a comfortable living, but so what? I question the reality of my achievements when I see the Kardashians and internet influencers talking nonsense and making more money than I do, jetting around the world, and do a random IG post and ka-ching, ka-ching. The sweet sound of money.

And you can say, "money isn't everything". No. It is not. But it gives you tremendous privileges to do good. To give your loved ones the best medical treatments, and allows you access to change the world......and gives you resources to find inner peace. Now that is not something dumb ppl can accomplish. Our culture has changed for the worse. And Paris and the others are the beneficiaries.

I'm not here for a war of words. I'm just saying, she's really not as dumb as she lets on. Can we at least agree to disagree and entertain the idea that MAYBE she's not so dumb.

I fully understand where you’re coming from. We’re living in a time when success is increasingly linked to a new kind of “smarts,” the Kardashian type! Why should someone study and work hard for decades to make meaningful contributions to the world, when they could just become an influencer or reality star instead?

I have nothing against influencers or reality stars, we need all kinds of contributions. But what happens when we need new drugs to treat emerging illnesses, or safer planes and buildings?

I am not attacking anyone here but I want to say this. Where I grew up there was a well known car dealer who routinely screwed over people and preyed on broke folks and those that didn't know better for over 20 years. They eventually shut down but the same things could be said for them that are stated about Paris Hilton. She has raked in money for years so they must be doing something right. Well sometimes just making money year after year by pulling the wool over the eyes of your fans just isn't enough.

I was thinking discussion, not a war of words. And yes, I’ll agree she must have some smarts to keep the public interested for so long.

And also yes - it says something about the world we live in rather than how smart/talented/educated we have to be in order to be wealthy. I’ll add open-minded and tolerant to the list because Paris was openly racist and still made millions.

Sorry, I did not mean to be argumentative, she certainly had her fans.
