The name Hot Pink took a lot of thought.Lol. Whoever used to name their colors clearly doesn’t work there any more.![]()
Yep, and I was thinking how the green looks close to Bambou, and it gets a name that doesn’t conjure a pleasant image but is more than a tad clinical. The name Hot Pink took a lot of thought.![]()
I could be wrong, but I thought the Gabrielle and SO bags are Made in France. It sounds like LVMH has melded Moynat’s manufacturing with the rest of their lines.I was chatting with Moynat SA in the Harrods store today and he said that ALL the bags are now being made in Italy "because there's so much experience there". (Clearly trying to put a positive spin on things.). I'm sad to say this but I think my M collection is going to come to an end, I have 5 lovely bags, got first one in 2020. I think I can tell that the leather and hardware is ever so slightly "less" on the newer ones, and there aren't really any other styles that interest me. The prices are also really quite high now. I've had an amazing boutique experience though, so never say never....
It's quite possible you might be right, this SA seemed a bit new. Although he was very enthusiastic. I didn't make it to the actual boutique in Mayfair.I could be wrong, but I thought the Gabrielle and SO bags are Made in France. Saw these "hot pink" bags in person in London and the back of the tote has "MOYNAT ATHLETICS" stenciled on it. Apparently it's a limited edition with a "workout" theme? Like this colorway a lot but not the labeling. If anyone is interested —
Prelaunches available soon, for remote sale, through Miami and Palm Beach pop ups.

Sad if true. I am guessing their Paris atelier, if it still exists, is probably used for those.I could be wrong, but I thought the Gabrielle and SO bags are Made in France. It sounds like LVMH has melded Moynat’s manufacturing with the rest of their lines.
I hope not the Gabrielle!I was chatting with Moynat SA in the Harrods store today and he said that ALL the bags are now being made in Italy "because there's so much experience there". It's a blessings for us to have witnessed the era when all the Moynat pieces (even the SLD!!) being produced in France. Apparently the new management underestimates how we treasure the craftsmanship of the Artelier (or they just don't care as long as the sales profile looks good?). I'm lucky enough to have placed a Gabrielle SO in Sept 2022 and I'm super excited to have it unboxed soon!! If I am remembering correctly, when they first started up the atelier was in the larger Paris region but outside of the city. It was a big deal when they established an atelier a couple of years later very near the maison - Ramesh was able to closely collaborate with the artisans. It's a blessings for us to have witnessed the era when all the Moynat pieces (even the SLD!!) being produced in France. I think you’re right. The one saving grace is that the seasoned Moynat SAs still totally get it. I was corresponding with my SA at SCP just yesterday. When she was sending me a few color options for the PM Rejane she made sure to note, unsolicited, that the black one was made in Italy. I already adored her, but that subtle side note made me love her even more - I saw it as a discreet little nod to the good old days. She knows her customers care about that and that is one of the many reasons why the Moynat SAs and the Moynat shopping experience as a whole are among the very very best.Apparently the new management underestimates how we treasure the craftsmanship of the Artelier
I have bought from the website and DHL is asking for federal government id. Does that mean I will be charged with import duties and taxes?I've purchased from the website and shipped to the US three times. Each time I had to pay my state's taxes, but Moynat covered the shipping and import fees. The site calculated the total cost up-front before I purchased so there were no surprises. Everything arrived without any problems or additional fees. It was a really easy, seamless experience for me.
