That may be true, but I don’t think that makes it any less tacky. I don’t own any of those competitor bags either.Every bag designer has brought out their signature, their entire name across the bag....surely you've noticed all that?!
I know signature/logos are popular with some, and I’m not under the impression that my tastes are representative. It just doesn’t make sense to me that Coach is already diving back into signature fabric after trying to move upmarket.
I love how low-key the branding is on the 1941 bags. I’ve gotten quite a lot of compliments over the holiday season for my Tea rose Rogue 25. Every person I’ve told that it’s Coach has reacted with surprise. “THAT’S Coach? Wow,” or some variant. I think many people still associate Coach with the worst of the signature outlet bags, and that’s unfortumate.
I agree with others that it feels too soon for Coach to go back to signature fabric bags. I have trouble believing that will draw people back to Coach when more than a few were put off by it in the first place. It’s too soon for the nostalgia factor.
I can only speak for myself, but I think it risks putting those of us who came for the beautiful leather and more low-key branding off. Same as I was never interested in Juicy Couture - to me their legacy was splashing JUICY across women’s butts. It’s a statement, all right, just not one that speaks to me.

TL:dr: I’ve never liked being a walking billboard and I dislike all the logos/huge monograms out there whether they’re fashionable again for 15 minutes or not. I hope Coach isn’t heading in this direction in a big way or I will only feel good about wearing my 1941 bags. I’ve already removed all the regular Coach metal and leather hangtags from my non-1941 bags. Unfortunately there’s no removing the metal logo that’s attached to the front of the bags themselves.
