So customer service indicated that no stores in my area have the bag with the pewter hardware. She did ask me to check all the hardware for the bag, including on the straps and it does all have gold. She is going to try and locate stores out of the area that have the bag to confirm there is a pewter hardware option. If she cannot do that, she is going to contact the warehouse and have them check to see if one actually exists (meaning someone grabbed the wrong bag). I will keep you posted on the saga! Unsure if I'll hear back today or tomorrow. I have a headache and need ice cream! Ha!

You & me both sister. No call back as of 7:00 tonight so I called again (mostly because they told me not to send the purse back until they could get me a concrete answer on if a different bag with the correct hardware was available but I want to get it back by tomorrow since UPS is closed around here on Sunday and I want to get the credit process as soon as possible).
I spoke to a different CS Rep who did see the notes in the system. She said the original person would be calling me back later that night. There were two attempts from customer service to call me. Both only rang one time & when I picked up, they had hung up. Two hours later, I had an email from the rep indicating they had tried to call me but there was no answer. I think they were just buying more time. I'm completely frustrated with this situation. At this point, I'm not even sure if getting the bag with the right hardware is even on my radar anymore. Bad Coach customer service strikes again.
I'd like to return the bag to my local Coach store and order the right bag, which my local SA says does "appear" to be available. Of course, we really wouldn't know until it came in, but I don't want my local store to take the hit for Jax sending me the wrong bag.

Oh what a frustrating mess!!!! I don't think Coach has ever made a bag in 2 hardware options before? Except for maybe a basic black bag like Phoebe came with gold and silver choices. But, I'm reallllly hoping maybe there are 2 versions of this bag. My 30% expires in a few days so I need to decide ASAP on which kaffe fassett bag I will order.

I believe you are correct, I only remember black bags being offered with gold or silver hardware.

@Teagaggle How frustrating! I hope they have it in both options. I personally love the brass, but it looks great in both IMO.

Color me heartbroken...Tabby 26 in Kaffe floral arrived today. I won't go into detail other than to say the pictures speak for themselves. Once again, Coach photo accuracy is seriously lacking. I was really very excited for this bag, as I thought the color palette with the dark hardware was absolutely beautiful. I'm really very disappointed. As I've stated here numerous times, I am not a fan of brass/gold hardware so this got immediately packaged back up. I don't understand how you get a photo of a bag with dark hardware but the actual bag has brass. Where's the bag they photographed? I don't get it! Anyway, the details of the painting on the bag is really very pretty and I'm sure those of you who are into the brass hardware will absolutely love the collection. Sadly it won't be for me.

I think one of the Coach authenticators mentioned once that sometimes they change small details in the stock photos to throw off counterfeiters. But usually the description seems to match. Though on Coach FOS I find the bag descriptions but not colors are often wrong.

To me, online the blue outer color of the bag looks like a teal or marine but your photo makes it look like a navy or royal blue. I wonder if they changed their minds after making a few of the original?

I think now with photoshop, changing details like hardware is super easy, so it's possible there never was a bag that had pewter to begin with. :/

I don't think they change details to throw off counterfeiters. I think they just change their minds. They produce some samples when they first come up with the style and take photos, which is usually quite awhile before they begin production.. Then when production begins, they've changed some details and the item in the photographs is never sold.

I was also wondering about the difference in the background color. I love the teal color background much more than the color Tea received. This was on my radar but I think I'm taking it off.

I will say that the bag actually is a little more teal than it is shown in photos that I took. It's a hard color to capture, but it's definitely not navy blue. I'll try and grab another quick photo in outdoor lighting before a package it up. I'll keep you all posted!

I agree. Remember all the details that disappeared from Baseman's Hare Ray charm? The photo was of a nice detailed charm, the one produced, not so much.

Oh that bag is soooooo gorgeous!!!! I love the new peacock color.
Well, hopefully you love it so much that you're willing to buy it with the gold hardware because I just got off the phone after calling customer service again this morning and they told me that they do not have this bag with pewter hardware and they have forwarded my comments to the team who will apparently be taking the photos of the bag with the pewter hardware off of the Coach site. Of course, this is in complete contradiction to her saying the bag WAS available with two different color hardware and two different style numbers. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what fall brings in the way of bags. Still very disappointed in this entire experience.
