Grandmommie-- she's beautiful!

So I went to the NYC boutique on Friday and got to meet bv.luxury! He is as sweet as you'd imagine and such a young handsome gentleman. He kindly took me around to show some of the resort pieces and we chatted away happily.

The assensio tote was not there for me to see any more, but they had three nero ones and one magma out. I liked the nero one quite a bit. It's incredibly soft and light for patent, and I love the randomly squished tubes and the partially raised weaves (just like the nuvolato). I was not so keen on the handles though, and wonder what the CA version looks like. Overall it's a little too shiny for me and I didn't love it as much as I fell for the nuvolato.

I saw three assenzio pieces, the satin knot, the sfrangiato knot, and the tote with pockets. Assenzio looks to me a bit yellower than granny smith apple with slight grey tint on leathers. I didn't see the grey tint on satin (and canvas too I presume) though.

I really liked the nero cervo bag with patent weave, which I think gives the casual and comfy hobo a little oomph. I wish it was a tiny bit smaller.

They are of course waiting for more and more resort pieces, and I would love to see more of magma and lagoon. I also still want to see the assenzio belly veneta as well as the plaid aquilone. Guess I have to go back there again.:D

^mid-- you got to meet Bryan!!! Yay! Hope I will sometime soon.

Tell me more what you didn't like about the Nero tote. That's the one I was thinking was the most interesting.

I saw the Nero tote in Paris, and it looks just like patent to me also. Agree with your assessment Mid, if it was matte and not shiny, would have purchased one. Great weight and loved how the tubes were interwoven and attached, masterful craftmanship.

I might have seen the same tote while in Paris! They had it out on display. I agree with Mid-'s description. It looked like it should have been stiff because of the shiny (very shiny) finish, but it was squishy/puffy, and soft to the touch, too. It was also lighter weight than expected.

Oh, I should also note that I saw a new Cabat color, and the SA told me it was from the Resort collection. I don't know the name of it, but it looked like a turquoise green to me. It was classic nappa with the classic look, but with a surprising color.

^^Yes, I thought it was lagoon, but the SA was puzzled by the color name when I mentioned it. Perhaps the Paris store uses color names in French only. I agree, it's different than azure, more muted and I think more greenish. It's not a color that looks good on me, but I can imagine it being wonderful on others.
