Yeah, this knot is gorgeous. Not sure whether it comes in red unless appla is the color you are referring to? It's posted in the previous pages too in this thread

I believe someone said it comes in red (Appia) in post #73. I am new to BV so I have no idea what kind of red is Appia...just thought someone might have seen the red that's why i asked...

Hi - I was the one who wrote post #73. Appia is this season's "red" but it is not a true red. It's closer to dark burnt sienna. Here's the Appia Satin knot for reference. The color looks a lot darker in satin so I suggest you also check out the BV website to get a sense of Appia in nappa leather.

I don't recall seeing any leather stretch knots for S/S 2013 unless you're referring to the ones made in croc.

Hi

thanks for your post...I immediatedly went onto the website to check out the appia shade in nappa leather...but my computer seems to show a variation of brick red to browned red for the different products...

would you happen to know if BV does a dark red and the name?

ahhh...so there are stretch knots made of croc? sounds delicious! please may i know the colours they come in?

thanks!

Appia is more of a browned red. Most definitely not brick red or dark red.

BV has done several dark reds in the past but there is none for the current S/S 2013 collection. Some of color names from previous seasons include Eclipse ('08), Pourpre & Scarlett ('10), Carmine ('11), just to name a few. As you can see, the shade comes back in some shape or form so if a dark red knot (or bag) is what you want then you should just wait it out and not settle.

Croc stretch knots tend to come in neutral colors like Nero, Ebano, Noce/Chene, Ash. From time to time, they make one in a seasonal color (Blood, Violet from F/W '12 & Cruise '13) but since they are quite pricey, you're going to have to check with your nearest BV boutique for their inventory since not all stores will have them.

TDL --> thanks for your headsup on waiting & not settling...really appreciate it!

another question since you seem so knowledgable about BV bags...do the stretch knots come in leather (perhaps in a black or dark red)?

thanks!

sophiac - to my knowledge, stretch knots in leather only come in exotics these days.

Croc is a staple every season. From time to time, they would interpret something in Karung or Ayers (a watersnake that has smaller scales than python). Back in F/W '10 they did one in Ayers + some pyrite paper/foil material... I have this knot in Ink (see photo below).

They also did one for Cruise '08-'09 in Karung + goatskin with a special gorgiera treatment (not the standard intrecciato weave).

Aside from these, you'd get the silk faille or satin versions for Stretch. There are definitely more leather interpretations for the classic Knot.

Here are the 4 color variants of this season's Intrecciato Nappa Fringe Ayers Knot - in Nero, Appia, Poussin and Antique.
