I agree with this. It can’t go any lower. I would try it with MyGemma, TRR, FP and others while waiting it out. I believe it will go back up after the scandal but it’s too soon
I do have low back hardware, but the surgery that took me out was the 7 level cervical fusion. Almost three years now and I'm still struggling. Hubby and I haven't been out to eat in over 3 years. COVID was never taken seriously here, so we only do carryout even now. Honestly, my outings are limited to grocery shopping and (of course) medical appointments. Yeah, exciting life I have these days.
I dont have experience withI've never really thought balenciaga held its resale value as much as some other brands. I bought a city bag couple of years ago for around £300 which would gave been around a 5th or 6th of the price for a new one at the time and it was in good condition. I think with the recent controversies lots of people are selling balenciaga and less people are looking to buy as wel so there's a supply and demand issue. And I've heard the resale market isn't as good at the moment for a lot of brands because of the economy. Its maybe not the best time to sell for a good price it might be worth holding on to it for a bit if you can unless you get a decent offer or selling yourself rather than through a store as they do tend to lowball offers.

Thanks for posting the link. I wasn't about to read 51 pages of drama though, so I copied the first post describing the "controversy" issue and Googled it. Between the "M&M's Melodrama" and this, I'm firmly convinced that some people have WAAAAAAAAY too much time on their hands.

That's why I havn't bothered to sell any of my bags, even if I'll ever wear some of them again. I'd probably get $50 for my 2016 Fendi Spy bag and I'd rather keep the bag if only for sentimental values than the $50.

this is a supply and demand market - and they also want to make money on top. Balenciaga is hard to move these days, but I submitted a quote for a Le Cagole prior to the controversy, and also received a low quote. This is a tough market for resale of anything other than specific Hermes, Chanel and LV. They account for that in their quotes.

So I’m not surprised that a very new and trandy bag would get such a low price. I wouldn’t be surprised if they refused to sell it at all.
I actually don't consider that as "scandal", it was just design and some people interpreted it an offensive meaning. Nowadays companies / people are so easily get into trouble from unintentional oversight.
Whatever the scandal, the all-time low Bal resale is real ATM, as well as more pre-loved Bal on the market. It's such a shame because most Bal isn't logo-fied, just really nice bags bought and made before last year's fiasco (and it was a fiasco IMO).
Even selling privately, you'll incur huge losses. If you wanted to wear your bag for a few occasions and enjoy it, I don't think it would be a bad idea to wait. If you need the money, obviously whole different story.
It is special, it is beautiful, and will probably become a highly collectable bag in the future. Vogue still has the crystal Hourglass as one of KK's top 10 bags and (again IMO) the best one of this bunch. Whatever we may think of KK she will go down in social and fashion history as a taste maker.
