I’m selling my black Crystal Hourgass bag which retails for $6850 and is in basically brand new condition and I received an absolutely SHOCKING quote!
It was an impulse purchase and totally irresponsible so I need to sell but DANG I am not going to give it away?
I thought these bags were special and sought after. Am I wrong or does Yoogis just have NO CLUE what this bag is?
I’m waiting on a few other quotes. Thanks for letting me vent lol

Have they sold a similar bag? Maybe a different color? Have you researched and found what the reselling price went for? Just keep in mind Balenciaga had some controversy over their last ad campaign which could affect resale value.

Unpack a bag and remove all the tags, it automatically loses half its former value. Sadly, that's the case with most bags that are not super rare and coveted oldies...
Also, Balenciaga is not Hermes or Chanel. Not that prestigious and definitely not after their latest scandal.

Rude is not the right word for a quote from a business that monitors a fluctuating demand-supply market. They know what the market is, and we as civilians do not have the full range of that info. You may not like a number, you may be ultra disappointed, you may be mad at yourself for overspending if resale was a possibility--but it's entirely business here and not bad intentions or practices. It's a quote, period.

Fancy Bal has a very, very limited market so I'm not surprised.

That’s worse than I thought. It is quite normal that you'll get quotes from consignment stores that will leave you speechless and on the verge of tears. Had that happen with a Fendi Peekaboo....

THANK YOU for that. I’m an O.G. And have sold bags here and there over the years, so I’m well aware of lowball quotes and how much we lose when we do choose to resell down the road…but HOLY HELL I was not prepared for this shock!! I appreciate your kind words and understanding!!!

I've had similar issues the past year with my Prada offers from Yoogi's. Prada has NEVER had much resale value unless it's some type of limited sought after item like the Fairy Bags, but now the offers are seriously laughable. I bought a practically new bag last year that I really should have sent back. It's really heavy and I had serious cervical spine surgery, so it was foolish of me to keep it but I did. I only tried using it once or twice and threw in the towel. It was in the same condition as I received it, but I knew they'd lowball it. They did, I turned it down. Time goes by and I've still not used it so I sent in for a new quote and mentioned the issues above and asked if they could offer a bit better price. They offered me LESS than the first quote! :annoyed:

I've had better luck with the LVs I've sold back, but since people only want those "it" nylon Re-issues Pradas, not beautiful classics like mine, Prada's pretty worthless. The upside though is their purchase prices have been silly low as well.

Hopefully one day I can carry that particular bag again. It's SO beautiful!

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that. Yeah I’m just going to keep it if I don’t get a fair price for it. It’s so pretty to look at on my shelf lol Uou can always take your bag out to dinner and keep it on a chair or table so it’s not hurting your back perhaps!

I had a local conignment store tell me they had to lower their quote on my PS bag due to wear. then they sold it. their website said nothing about wear. don't know whether they sold online or at the BNM store.
