Diva999, Pamella - thank you inspirational ladies - today was the first day I could have a play and I have to say I had some fun and lucked out on this!

Julide apologies in advance for not taking additional pictures at this stage, but would rather get back to you sooner rather than later.

I tried tying this first and 'slipping' into it like the diagram above, without a great deal of success so:

1. Draped over my shoulders

2. Gathered the corners on the same side together

3. Post corners together forwards through both loops on one side

4. Post them back on themselves though one loop only.

5. Repeat 1-4 on the other side and adjust to where you'd like the belt to fall.

6. Pull both tight to secure.

Great for clutch or arm/handbags - not great for shoulder bags!

Now this seems logical to me because I spent a merry portion of an afternoon playing, but please feel free to ask me to clarify if anything is unclear. Enjoy!

What a treasure trove of fabulous ideas this thread is - Thank you Katel!

Here's my Coaching GM in etoupe/marron, Tohu Bohu in Framboise/orange, and my Belles de Mexique in dark olive/purple

Thanks, jessie77!

The shawl is Les Cles.

Fold opposite corners to meet in the middle, repeat with the two folded edges, bring both folded edges to the middle once more and fold in half lengthwise. (I think this is called the basic diagonal fold.) Tie a knot at each end and adjust.

You can drape it around your neck as is, or tie both ends into a knot like I have on the photo, or experiment. It's sort of like having a gigantic losange to play with!
