Scarves ode to wearing shawls

Penny raised a great point last week - there is no single place to view the many unique ways to wear the GM shawls and stoles (cashmere, mousseline, or the new 140cm silks). I've scanned threads before looking for inspiration myself - let's make it easy and gather the pics/examples in one place.

the weave

1. Fold the GM in a triangle, and fold it up from the bottom point to become a long sash. Put the two ends over each shoulder down your back, leaving the looped center in the front. Bring one tail over your shoulder and put it UNDER the loop in the front.

2. Put (weave) the other tail under the first tail and over the loop

3. Then fiddle with it til it hangs right for you.

you can fluff this weave any way you like. Here's robee with a tight weave:

per bagmad73: "I folded my GM shawl in half (rectangular), draped it over my shoulder and tied the 2 bottom inside tips behind my back."

this method also works with the GM folded in a triangle, with the point hanging down your back. Esp. lovely with mousselines as a floaty "capelet/jacket".
