Ode to the Victoria

This thread is reminding me that I am still upset that there was a beautiful Victoria II, in a creamy wheat like color (trench maybe?), at LAX a year ago and I could have bought it and did not! What was I thinking? I am still kicking myself.
Maybe there's an even better one coming up in the future!

Wow this is so helpful! This is exactly what I’m looking for!

I have 4 Victoria bags so I'm a little crazy about them. I saw that a YouTuber recently posted a video about her newly arrived Victoria. This video may have some helpful info in it for you. The video is by Ali, titled "This bag is INSANE!!! Unboxing and exploring the Hermes Victoria bag ❤️❤️❤️"

In the meantime here are some quick notes on this bag:
  • Traditionally comes in 3 sizes: 35, 43, 50. Now there is a "Victoria III" in a mini size, as seen above.
  • For leathers, it usually comes in Clemence. I also have one in Evercolor. It also comes in various canvases.
  • Some of the older bags come with a luggage tag. I have heard that the bags with the luggage tags are called "Victoria" while the ones without it are "Victoria II" but I'm not sure if this is true.
  • It has two zippers which meet on the center top of the bag. The zipper pulls can be locked to the center top of the bag.
  • It has 5 feet and a usual stitch pattern on the bottom of the bag. The bottom is padded.
  • The inside is lined in canvas, making it a bit lighter than other leather-lined bags of a similar size. Some linings have a zip pocket while others do not. All linings have slip pockets.
  • The 35cm can be fit on the shoulder (if it's not too stuffed and you're not wearing a thick coat). The larger sizes have shorter handles.
For me I like how versatile this bag is and I love the casual slouchiness. I also love that this bag comes in so many colors. I fell in love with it when I saw a Parisian woman carrying it one rainy December afternoon many years ago in the 6th arr. Such a vivid memory!
I carry mine frequently and no one ever stops me to ask if it's an Hermès bag (which I appreciate). Maybe it's just me, but I strongly dislike talking to strangers about my Hermès bags because it makes me feel very uncomfortable. So the Victoria bag is great for me.

Amazingly vibrant on the Victoria. It looks great on you!
Interestingly I find the Orange works better as a 'neutral' for me than gold which I find tricky to wear with anything other than brown toned outfits, cream, or denim.
The orange works as a clash with purples and pinks or as a colour pop with black.
I find gold looks dull against many other colours.
