My Victoria in Etoupe and white switching. I have only tried the elan at shop after having a Victoria, it is much slimmer and doesn't fit my regular bag insert so I didn't get the elan at the end. The Victoria is roomy that sometimes i put too many things in my handbag. View attachment 2908912
Bwautiful bag - love the contrasting stitching. I bought a Victoria for this first time this year and really am falling for it - its so under the radar, practical, not too heavy and roomy without being too big. Please help, ladies!
I´ve found a Victoria FT 35 in Etoupe (white stitching, just like the one three posts above this one), in mint condition, for 2.000 Euro. Authenticated, original receipt, keys/lock/clochette/dustbag etc., all OK. I tried it on... LOVE! (at 5'3" I thought it´d dwarf me, but its squishiness molds it into proportion)
However, I have these doubts - as this is my HG for work and will likely remain my only H bag:
- inside, this bag I saw has two smaller pockets plus one on the opposite side which is zipped - and according to pics I´ve seen in TPF, the larger pocket inside is not zipped. Weird/red flag? Or did H put in a zipper later on?
- I was actually considering Orange, Potiron, Brick, or Rouge H, as I wear mostly warm colours (brown, olive, cinnamon, cherry, curry): I have already a red bag, but no orange - and certainly nothing like Etoupe yet. I´m 45, and my workplace is always at international organizations, so a rather formal setting (suits, dresses, also tweeds, tartans and herringbone). So my questions are: 1) will Etoupe be "serious" enough, and 2) will it blend in with my colour palette as described above, or should I wait for a rare Brique, Potiron or Olive to pop up?
Thanks very much for your counsel!
jyyanks, thanks for your thoughts on this! I really like the shape/lightness/roominess/functionality... but the colour makes me look drained (don´t get me wrong, it´s an intriguing, versatile and lovely shade - but just "meh" on me).
Guess it´s back to saving for a more exciting warm shade to come out... or searching on for a preloved potiron, orange, gold, or brique![]()
I love everyone's Victoria too.
Given a choice, which colour do you think you'd get? The bamboo or natural ? Have been thinking about it a few days and still undecided.
Looking for something classy, versatile ,sophisticated and cool. What doe Vic Fans think ?
Thanks everyone !![]()

Thank you Jyyanks!
I do love green but I lean towards the subdued kind of greens, the malachites, the vert Clair's, the canopees... As soon as brighter bolder shades like vert anis, bamboo, per louse come along, I get nervous and lack the confidence and the tenacity plus the patience to "find" things to match them. I dislike portraying the image that " I work too hard on my looks" but secretly toil in secret to plan my next purchase with TPFers, seriously sophisticated people who are passionate about how they look yet are down to earth folks.
I like your analysis about "neutrals making it more understated" and I think I should begin to meander into the more POP areas.![]()
I totally understand and feel the exact same way. I love the color bamboo but it literally matches nothing in my wardrobe. The Victoria is a large bag so it's a lot of bamboo to consider. You can always try pop in a smaller bag like a pico, evelyne or a small GP. If you feel more comfortable with a neutral, then there's nothing wrong with that. I would also consider an understated blue or red such as Rouge H or Saphir if you want "pop neutral". I've seen a malachite Victoria and it's to die for!!!
