Scarves Ode to the Twilly

Hi, I was wondering if the SA would find it offensive if I asked them to match a twilly to a bag that isn't Hermes? I have a Delvaux mini Brillant and don't really like the twillies from Delvaux. Should I take the bag with me to match or should I just choose and buy one without the bag. Thanks.
This is a really late reply, but I just stumbled upon this awesome thread, so thought I would weigh in.

Agree with the other poster that this shouldn’t be an issue. If it is, mention it to the SM. Their job is to sell product (plus given the scarcity of H bags, I don’t think they should be choosy). And from personal experience, I can share that my SA kindly retied a Twilly on a Prada bag for me when I commented how poorly I had done it myself. She also showed me a few tips and tricks that have helped me better tie Twillys on all my bags, not just my H.

Also, has anyone developed a display system for twillys they can share or do most people keep them in the boxes? Hoping for some ideas. They’re too pretty to be boxed up!
LOVE the tree!!!!

There is a thread here, mostly for larger format but some twilly info as well:

Basically, there are some clear, divided trays you can get, like for tie storage. I just fold mine a few times and stack them - but I only have four :P

Honestly I think any sort of storage options for men’s ties would work well. Special hangers, pull-out racks, etc. Maybe check out The Container Store. It’s an OCD wet dream, LOL!!!!

You are probably all set but I’m going to chime in just in case people search this up. My family has twillys for all their non Hermes bags. My SA has always been lovely about helping us pick things out and ties everything on very happily.

So I'm really not sure where I should post this but it involves a twilly, so I guess here? :huh:Maybe I should post on the clutch thread too ...

Anyways I saw this post from Pastel_lattes on Instagram on how to make a braided twilly handle and I thought it was genius!
The video shows how to tie a twilly handle on a constance but she's done it on her Kelly cuts on her IG feed too.

I copied the tutorial on my Kelly pochette and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to do!

Hers a close up of the braided handle. The twilly feels very solid after braiding. I haven't seen this before and thought I would share.

Also, the twilly is WOW.

I could have sworn I replied to this post asking for any tips on this handle thing. I am terrible at it and my twilly just twists up shrively style when I attempt it. (Maybe I just didn’t actually hit post reply properly🤷‍♀️).
