I have a question about the roulis 23. I have a gold one from 2018 from Fashionphile and recently saw one from 2016. I noticed on the 2016 bag the side hardware (both sides) the ring doesn’t move around the same as the 2018. It moves around but not up and down where it’s easy to get the strap out for adjustment. I understand there have been t-bar adjustments and the 2016 doesn’t have the spring. It’s the movement of the round piece I’m asking about. I hope that makes sense! I really am looking to confirm Hermes made this change somewhere between 2016 and 2018. Many thanks!

It's not a "change" per se. It's loose and this rotates, but is not defective and not about to fall out. I would not worry.
Thanks for your reply. I’m not worried about it falling off I was more concerned to confirm that Hermes made changes along the way. I’ll attach a picture. On the 2018 gold the ring moves around the solid round metal ball whereas on the 2016 gris perle the ring is solid with the round metal ball, it does not move around independently from it. I highlighted in green the “round metal ball”.
Yes I know what you mean. I don't think they "changed it". It's likely a variation in a different/ new batch of hardware. It's not the same as the spring T-bar which they actually deliberately changed to facilitate ease of use. I was told this by my SA when I bought the more recent bags.
For the mini roulis- yes but it is a tight fit and bulges the pocket. I have a bulky case on mine and the phone fits up and down but not on its side.
I just got offered this bag today also had my heart set on a bright color but don’t own any gray Hermes bags how do you love it so far and does it fit an iPhone inside? Any mod shots 
If you don’t have a max your phone will fit fine. I have three roulis mini and it’s probably my second favorite H bag style. Congrats! I have three of the mini roulis and I adore this bag for how practical it is, though if you normally tote a lot of stuff, you may find it less practical. It easily fits my usual iPhone, id/cc, lipgloss, pill box, Kleenex, and hair band with room to spare. Love that it's divided into two compartments so you're not constantly having to reorganize contents.
